Spent 5 nights in this hotel.Had some concerns with a website I used to make the booking and the hotel staff were brilliant, even contacting the website for me.I found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful while we were there.I was shocked to read in previous review about bag snatch in reception as I always felt very... The hotel was in a very quiet and pleasent part of Barcelona yet only a short metro journey to the centre (Las Rambla). Nearest metro station is Uddin which is no more than a 5 min walk. Rooms were clean including the bathroom and a good size. Room comes with a mini bar and TV but no tea making faciities.... More

Thank you for your review, we are glad you had a nice stay in our hotel. We appreciate your comments and we will take note of your suggestions. The wifi use to work well. We would have had the opportunity to give you a solution, because reseting up the router is usually enough. I wish you think about us if... More

I stay in hotel the last week end.The location is good, central. The room is very dark because the window is little and there is a table-desktop in front of it, blocked in the walls. The staff man , called to close the window and eliminate the noise caming from the street, climbed on the table and finally closed the window!!!!: The glass-made... This place IS a little gem. Its in a great position, only 2 stops away on the metro from Las Ramblas, so smack in the middle of the city. It's clean, well appointed and wonderful bathrooms. No noise heard from the room. Advice from the staff was very helpful for a tourist in this wonderful city. Liked it so much... More

We had a great time here. The location is quiet and safe and within good reach of bars, restaurants, metro, buses and sights. Don't be put off by the reported distance by some reviewers from the tourist centre, there is much more to wonderful Barcelona than Las Ramblas! The staff were friendly and very helpful. Thoroughly recommend upgrading to a... More

Acevi Villarroel is a 4-star hotel in an excellent neighborhood, L'eixample. It is about 6 blocks from Paseo de Gracia - the main commercial/shopping area in Barcelona - in between two of Gaudi's best works on Paseo de Gracia, La Pedrera and Casa Batllo. We moved to this hotel from a different 4-star hotel from Las Ramblas because we wanted... More

We stayed there 3 nights. When we first arrive they treated really nice, but it was just for the first day. The room was big, I cannot deny that, and the bed was comfy, but apart from that, the room had nothing else to offer. The room could have been more decorated but it wasn't. The walls where white with... More

We've just had a wonderful break in Barcelona with our 5 and 18 month old girls. The Acvei is in a location that is convenient for walking around the city or catching the metro. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel too. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful and really good... More

Centally located for major tourist areas. Safe, quiet location. Extremely helpful staff. Great value for the money. Have spent more in Barcelona on accomodation and recieved less! N.B.As you come out of the hotel if you turn left and walk down towards the metro there is the Balmes cafe cake and savoury pastry shop at No 78 Villarroel. An excellent... More
