Staff was helpful and friendly. Beds were comfortable. Great value. Hotel is on the bus and subway line. Very convenient. We were happy to stay a little bit away from Las ramblas! Disappointed the hottub and pool weren't open. Would stay again.

We had two rooms for our family. The rooms were small but beds comfortable. Street noise early in the morning. It was difficult to adjust temperature setting in the room and this is my only complaint. The location of this hotel is fantastic. Close to all major attractions. I can't say enough positive things about the front desk staff!!!!! They... More

Stayed here during the MWC in March 2015. The room was exactly like the one in the picture above, somewhat crammed but the bathroom had ample space. Right across the street from Poble Sec metro station (L3 line) that will take you directly to many major places of interest, such as Placa Espanya and its Magic Fountain, Placa Catalonia, La... Stayed at this hotel to go to Barcelona football match. The hotel is right next to a Metro station so is very well located. easy to get into the city and easy to get to the football ground. The hotel is small but very adequate with a nice restaurant for breakfast. Staff were all very friendly and helpful and I... More

This hotel is pretty pathetic by any reasonable standards. The penny pinching is apparent from the tiny coffee cups that are half full and multiple trips are required to have a drink for breakfast. The food is cold when it comes out of the kitchen and is put in warmers that are not even turned on. Breakfast is of a... More

Dear sir, First of all, thank you for choosing Hotel Silken Concordia on your visit to Barcelona. We are very sorry that you didn't enjoy our breakfast buffet, as there's a wide selection of pastries, cold meat, bread, and hot tortilla and sausages, amongst other products. We are sorry that maybe the warm food was not hot enough for you,... More

We stayed here for one night in a superior twin room. Great room, very spacious. Fantastic shower with amazing power. Bar was lovely and reasonable priced. Breakfast was varied and they always were on hand to help. Staff were brilliant. Nothing was too much! Let ua check in at 11.00 when we arrived rather then making ua wait to 3!... More

The location is perfect, the rooms good and the staff helpful and willing to ensure what you ask is answered. We were a couple given a room with 2 twins joined to make a double. This was promptly changed when we requested a proper double. Despite being on the first floor it was quiet at night. The heater stopped working... More

Ideal location, 11 of us headed over for a stag party the hotel was spotless staff were great and very friendly, if you needed something there was no problem. The pool was cold but you expect that in January we didn't mind, we asked for the sauna to be turned on and it was done straight away. There was a... More

This hotel has fairly small rooms - and is quite tight with narrow hallways so one feels not so insulated from people going down the hallway. When I arrived the rooms were super hot and stuffy. They seemed sort of bare bones on the number of staff. Staff are pleasant, but did not really go the extra mile - felt... More

I stayed almost a week in this hotel just recently. It is a very short walk from the new Teatre Lliure, where I was working. It is also not far from the port and shopping areas. We stayed on in the hotel to do some sightseeing when our run at the theatre ended. The hotel is clean and comfortable and... More

Staying in Montjuic

Neighborhood Profile
Montjuic
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colorful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
