Ideal location, 11 of us headed over for a stag party the hotel was spotless staff were great and very friendly, if you needed something there was no problem. The pool was cold but you expect that in January we didn't mind, we asked for the sauna to be turned on and it was done straight away. There was a... More

This hotel has fairly small rooms - and is quite tight with narrow hallways so one feels not so insulated from people going down the hallway. When I arrived the rooms were super hot and stuffy. They seemed sort of bare bones on the number of staff. Staff are pleasant, but did not really go the extra mile - felt... More

I stayed almost a week in this hotel just recently. It is a very short walk from the new Teatre Lliure, where I was working. It is also not far from the port and shopping areas. We stayed on in the hotel to do some sightseeing when our run at the theatre ended. The hotel is clean and comfortable and... More

Stayed at this hotel on our recent trip to Barcelona. The location is good, a ten minutes walk or so to las ramblas or the port area with a metro station and mainline also within what we thought was a decent walking distance. The hotel is located on a busy road and is well presented with a welcoming lobby area... More

We stayed at the Silken Concordia for 3 nights before our cruise sailed. It is a relatively convenient location. Do be careful of the pickpockets in this area. It is one subway stop from Place Espanya, the first stop for the airport bus and two metro stops from Las Ramblas close to where you can get the port shuttle. The... More

Placa Espanya is about 25 minutes bus ride away from the airport and there are buses every 10 minutes. The hotel is quite modern and very clean... More

Very nice hotel, friendly staff. Rooms are clean and modern. Very good breakfast and very convenient location - the merto station is just few steps from the hotel entrance. Will recommend to everybody ! The only minus is that on Friday night it was quire noisy outside the hotel.

This is a great hotel albeit a little noisy as there are some major road works going on in the main road outside at the moment. Also I found that various dumper trucks were picking up rubbish and glass bottles each night around 11.30. There is a small pool on the roof which is nice for unwinding at the end... More

Situated near to a Poble-sec metro entry, 15-20 minutes walk to La Rambla street and center, clean quite new rooms with everyday top service. Tasty big self-take breakfast. Only think I would give a little minus was a slower servis by breakfast (there was only one lady) and people on a reception shoul be a little bit warmer (as I... More

Only stayed here for one night, but the front desk staff was wonderful. We had come in earlier than check-in time and they were able to accommodate us (give us a room) in less than 30 minutes. Eloina (the front desk girl) was very accommodating and always had a beautiful smile on her face. She was always helpful and knowledgeable,... More

Staying in Montjuic

Neighborhood Profile
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colorful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
