Totally amazing room, close to everything and we arrived from Australia at 930am, they got us showered and ready to go out and explore the day. While it's about a 10 mins walk away from town it's close. The rooms are large for Europe and so comfortable.

“The location is great. Away from all the hustle and bustle but only 10-15 mins away from the city centre and beach. Staff are very friendly and always helpful. Comfortable rooms, very clean, good mattresses, large bathroom with good shower. Neighborhood cafes in the area for cheap breakfast and beer and snack. 10 - 20 minute to all the sites:... More

It's fair priced for its quaity and its centre to Sagrada familia, metro station and other attractions. Friendly staff. Must try heavy, delicious morning buffet. The red line metro is the nearby stop and from there, most of the tourist attractions can be accessed.

We arrived quite early in Barcelona that day, and took a taxi at the airport. It was11 A.M. and we were tired of the long flight. At the hotel there wasn't a room for us, even though our reservation was for the day before. Even so, they took care of our luggage while we went out to lunch. Eixample is a... More

nice clean, airy hotel. Ideally situated for travelling to MotoGp circuit, as estacio del nord is a 4 min walk. Rooms are a decent size, plenty of storage space, quality toiletries, quiet air con, shower pressure good. Reception staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Buffet breakfast has a wide selection of foods and drinks. 10 minute walk to Sagrada Familia and... More

This was my 4th stay at this 4* hotel tucked away in the back streets near Arc De Triomphe Metro. Previously it was for business trips but this time for sightseeing. I chose this hotel as it's in a very quiet area unlike Las Ramblas & wanted to get some decent sleep at night. There was a warm welcome at... More

We chose Ayre Hotel Caspe due to the closeness of the bus station as our prime reason to visit Barcelona was the motogp. The room was totally adequate for a 4* hotel, it would have been good to have coffee making facilities but everything else was fine We had booked bed and breakfast thus my average rating - the cost... As this is our 6th visit to Barcelona we always look for a neighborhood where we haven't stayed before. This time we were looking for a place in/near El Born and we found it. The Hotel is situated in a side street of the Passeig de Sant Joan which ends directly at the Arc the Triompf. I think it's about... More

Was pretty disappointed with this hotel to be honest. Positives first though - the staff were all lovely and room cleaning excellent, but this is not a hotel worthy of a four star rating. We paid over one hundred euros a night for a basic hotel - it is 3 star at a push. Please don't be fooled by the... More

Dear Billy. First of all, thank you for choosing us, above all the accommodation possibilities offered in such an amazing city like Barcelona. As can be seen, your experience has not been as positive as perhaps you imagined. As seen at Tripadvisor, and as I see that you mention you read, our reputation widely gives us the chance to show... The hotel staff was friendly, courteous, and very helpful. They went above and beyond when we checked into the hotel early by taking our luggage up to the room when it was ready. The rooms were very large and clean with the disappointing exception of the shower where there was black mould all over the floor (we had to wear... More

Dear Guest, thank you very much for trusting Ayre Hotels, and hope we can keep this confidence in the future, both in Barcelona and in any of our cities with Ayre. Please apologize if you didn't find the bathroom in perfect conditions. Bathrooms are the area most wear, and therefore we perform periodic maintenance tasks. I hope on your next... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
