The Axel Hotel is in a very good location, only a short walk to many of Barcelona's interesting districts. There were many local restaurants in the neighborhood, many of which were quite good, especially Restaurant Canela about 300 meters from the hotel. The hotel staff are very nice, very helpful and multilingual. But that is all the good news there... more

Enjoyed my stay in this well located hotel. The room was simple and clean. The room safe was large enough to store a MacBook Pro 15" with accessories and personal items. This is an absolutely wonderful hotel; delightful and friendly service, beautiful rooms with sauna/ steam/ jacuzzi on the 7th floor and fantastic roof terrace. Very closed to the "red carpet" on the map, ramblas and shopping area, bed very big, shower too. Excellent. more
