I was worried when booking the Jazz hotel as a couple of the reviews on this site intimated that the rooms were on the small side - complete nonsense that turned out to be; we had a standard room (605) which had a huge bed, plenty of space, a good sized bathroom with a proper bath and shower, large wardrobe... We stayed here for a long weekend in Barcelona. We arrived late on a Thursday night, near enough midnight if I remember rightly, check in was simple and pleasant welcome. The rooms were large, clean and well equipped. The bathrooms were also clean, large and with a nice powerful shower. The aircon was very welcome, apart from when I left... More

We went for our 10th wedding anniversary. We love everything about this hotel. The attitude of the staff is always spot on. The rooms are fantastic value, spacious, clean, modern and air conditioned to the perfect temperature. Great location and the pool is a must if you are staying in warmer months. Will definitely return.

Great place to stay and visit the city. The rooms where superb. Clean, tidy and very welcoming. Very nice terrace bar to relax at night. The pool was small but this didn't affect are stay. Would recommend staying there. I would defiantly stay again!

We had a top corner room with great views of the city. The corner room was especially nice as it had top to floor windows on two walls. While there we ordered in champagne and tapas as our 2.5 weeks in Spain had come to an end. The staff was friendly and helpful with logistics such as the best way... More

Had such a pleasant stay at this hotel with my boyfriend. Definitely more suited to couples than families, the roof terrace was really chilled and the staff were also very friendly. Particularly enjoyed the pool and delicious breakfast. Views from the room weren't very good, but it's to be expected being in the middle of a city. The best thing... More

Not a bad word to say about this hotel. Perfectly situated, fantastic staff and a gorgeous roof top pool. The perfect place to stay after a busy day sightseeing! Rooms stylish and cool, free wifi and spacious bathroom. We had a great street view & would request this again if poss. Highly recommend. Can't comment on the food as we... More

Very pleasant stay. The hotel is perfectly located between Plaza Catalunya and Passeig de Gràcia, and just a minute away from the Ramblas. Good wifi reception and friendly service. Very hard to believe it's a 3* hotel. I'll definitely come back.

A great hotel well placed in Barcelona. The service was really good, and the breakfeast so lovely with the freshly squeezed orangejuice. Nice big and clean rooms. But the best part is the pool at 8th floor - on a hot summer day it is so lovely to come back to the pool. Next time in Barcelona we will definitely... More

A 5 minute walk to Las Ramblas, this hotel is super convenient. Comfortable beds and a decent breakfast, good Wifi and friendly service. The rooftop terrace was a godsend on a baking hot day as we could relax in the pool. While the pool was on the small side and a little too warm to be refreshing, it was still... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
