I have just returned from a short break in Barcelona with my daughter - so glad I booked this hotel. Great location nice roof terrace with a good sized pool and good sized rooms for Barcelona. We also felt very secure in the area especially in the evenings. Will definitely return.

We were recommended to stay in this hotel. It was great and we can't wait to come back. The staff were friendly and helpful. The roof top pool and sun beds were really good although we didn't use them. The hotel is centrally based and the bus stop to and from the airport is nearby.

Stayed in the corner junior suite with my family of four with two little ones. The room was large with two large, floor to ceiling, windows that opened up to a "terrace" ledge overlooking the city streets. Windows were well insulated and very little street noise made it into the room. Hotel was in an excellent location within 3 blocks... More

The best things about the hotel are the roof top pool and sundeck, the location, and security: the University Metro station is right outside the door, and the key is required for elevator access. Rooms are quiet and comfortable. My room was facing the street and while you hear some noise, the noise cancelling windows help a lot. Breakfast was... More

This is our third visit to Barcelona and our third staying at Hotel Jazz. I can honestly say the we have enjoyed all our visits, and cannot fault the hotel. Location is great for both trains, tourist bus and very close to La Ramble, as well as the port. Staff are very helpful and polite. Hotel is kept very clean.... More

Very comfortable friendly hotel, just 2 blocks from Placa Catalunya, the Metro La Rambla and Passeig de Gracia. My only complaint is that our room faced Universitat and at 4am the garbage trucks diesel outside for a very long time. My suggestion ask for a room facing one of the other streets.

First visit to Barcelona and booked Hotel Jazz on a recommendation. Glad we did as we enjoyed our stay tremendously. The room, a corner suite (two adults, one child), was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Some people have commented on the firmness of the beds - yes, they are firm, but that's exactly how I like my beds! Despite being... More

We stayed at the Jazz and I have to say it was an excellent choice. It is a clean smooth operation. If I had any criticisms it would be that the place lacked a soul. It is one of those hotels where everything is clean and modern, shiney surfaces, plain walls. Modern and efficient. Room was a good size and... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
