We stayed for five nights in June 2015. Several friends and family were with us for a family event. We have visited Barcelona six times in the the past seven years, staying in a different hotel each time. We will return to the Hotel Jazz next time. It's very central, rooms are spacious and freshly decorated - no signs of... More

We stayed here last week a couple of days before our cruise and could not be more pleased on our decision to stay at the Hotel Jazz. The hotel is very clean and comfortable, and best of all in a fantastic location. The metro station and bus stops are literally less than 100 yards from the hotel entrance. Las Ramblas... More

This hotel is a perfect place to stay if you are looking to be in the center with good connectivity as well as peaceful neighborhood. It's just a minute from the metro station. The hotel staff is very helpful and their recommendations were good. We stayed over this weekend for 2nights and couldn't have asked for any better. Our Barcelona... More

Superb hotel, great location with many of Barcelona's sights within walking distance. Lovely, large rooms, very clean, great staff. Amazing rooftop swimming pool and terrace with shade and cocktail bar attached which was a godsend for escaping the intense heat of the day. Great for LGBT travellers as close to Eixample area as well.

This was our first visit to Barcelona and the Hotel Jazz. Although the hotel has only 3 stars we found the rooms were clean and beds comfortable and just a short walk to the the Ramblas and Catalunya Square. The pool on the roof terrace is very nice, but we ordered drinks about 11.50pm we were not told the rooftop was... More

Stayed here for my 21st birthday and loved it! The hotel is in a very central location and you are just a short walk away from many sites. Las Ramblas is just around the corner and with a Metro stop as good as outside, you can get anywhere. The hotel itself is extremely modern and bright! Will definitely stay here... More

This was our 4th stay at this Hotel. Unfortunately we did not have our usual enjoyable experience. As soon as we arrived at check in desk I asked for a high floor corner room(we had booked one of these rooms in November 2014) but were given 3rd floor room that was dark and with no view. My husband went to... More

excellent location. just a short walk to SO MANY sites, La Rambla, Placa de Catalunya, Universidad metro station and many great restaurants. did not eat there so can't comment on that. Breakfast is not a big thing in Spain. Go to a local place for a croissant and espresso. Hardly anything open before 0900, Close to Aerobus stop from airport... More

Our first trip to Europe and this turned out to be a great hotel. Great food, be sure to get the breakfast, nice clean with very nice staff. We stayed for two days, and will be back next week, after our cruise.

Just returned from Barcelona last night and wanted to send my comments while they are fresh in my head. I love Barcelona, the people and this hotel and have previously visited in 2009 and 2011. This was my third trip and my longest stay (8 nights) and I would return again. Hotel You get the most "bang for your buck"... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
