Really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Jazz. The room was a good size and very close to Las Ramblas for shopping and restaurants. I caught the bus from the airport and got of at Placa Universitat. The hotel is about 250 mtrs from this stop. I had friends staying on Las Ramblas and their room was very small and noisy.... More

5 minute walk to the Ramblas, the subway and the airport bus, without the noise and craziness of Plaza Cataluna. Fabulous rooftop bar and pool - the perfect way to end a day with a glass of cava. lots of non-touristy restaurants too, just minutes from the door.

A friend and I recently spent two nights at this gorgeous hotel in Barcelona. Whilst its not the cheapest of options in this city it is most certainly worth spending that extra bit more for. The rooms were spotless and are cleaned every day, bedding and towels were all provided and changed during our stay and all toiletries were restocked... More

A clean, modern welcoming hotel, right in the heart of the city. Public transport to/from the airport is quick and easy as the bus stop is only a couple of minutes away. We found most of the main tourist attractions within easy walking distance. The staff were superb, particularly those at the front desk (Christine) and all were so friendly... More

This is our third stay at the Jazz Hotel and they continue to offer a great location and very good service. The front desk is very knowledgeable and helpful. We were able to walk all over Barcelona from this location and still be away from the hustle and bustle of Las Ramblas, which is two blocks away from the Jazz... More

Beautiful hotel, it is perfectly placed half block from de subway station 4 blocks from de Plaza Cataluna and the Ramblas the center of the city and close to all the important things you need to see in this wonderful city. The wifi works perfectly well and it is free, something difficult to find in Europe. The room is very... More

My wife and I just completed a 13 night European cruise, and stayed at the Hotel Jazz for 3-nights, prior to our cruise leaving from Barcelona. This was the first time to Barcelona and Europe and I must say, that we were so impressed with The Hotel Jazz. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The corner suite room we had,... More

Stayed here over the easter bank holiday and loved the hotel, the staff were all very polite and helpful. The hotel was immaculate and the room was spot on, very spacious with modern decor. The bathroom was great and there was an abundance of extras from shampoo and shower gel to shoe buffers! Our room was on the second floor... More

Best location, so central but away from horrible La rambla. Great room pretty big and spacious bathrooms, great breakfest and a very lively pool area. I have stayed here several times and will come back. Airport bus is stopping 1min away from the hotel.

When we first arrived in Barcelona, we took a bus from the airport to the Universitat stop which was just two short blocks from this hotel. Unfortunately, I left one suitcase on the bus. We went to the hotel, checked in and then asked the clerk if she could call the bus company about my bag. This was a guest... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
