We spent a few days in Barcelona, prior to taking a cruise through Italy. It was just a toss up as to what hotel we chose, but Hotel Jazz seemed to be the most convenient. And, indeed it was! The hotel is tucked away on a little side street (see my photo). It was just a couple blocks from La... More

This was our 3rd visit and we were not disappointed. We stopped for 5 nights and chose to include the buffet breakfast, it was excellent. Fruit juice, Fresh Fruit, Cereals, Hot cooked sausages eggs and more. You could ask for an omelette or scrambled eggs to be made fresh for you. Continental style breads cakes, meats and cheese. Well worth... More

Booked two rooms for family break for two nights. One room was bigger than other with view over street other room smaller with limited view at front of hotel. Rooms were spotlessly clean, nice decor and we'll stocked bathrooms. Great views from rooftop bar which was closed and swimming pool area. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice to keep... More

I was only in Barcelona for a couple days and this hotel has a great location to get anywhere you need - all walking. The rooms are very modern and comfortable - we lucked out and got the corner, which was HUGE for a hotel room. It is kind of loud because of the bus stop and placa nearby. Rooftop... More

Recently visited Barcelona for a long weekend and opted to stay in Hotel Jazz, which was situated very centrally - at the top of Las Ramblas. The hotel itself was clean, fresh and modern - but not in an anonymous and bland way which you often get with city centre hotels like this. Our room was spacious, and the decor... More

Close to everything, shops, museums, tourist attractions but yet removed enough to be quiet. Would go back. It has a fabulous rooftop pool and bar which was closed whilst I was there but I'd imagine is very busy during peak times.

In my opinion - the best hotel we had stayed in spain. Very modern, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. The location is fantastic, near the aero bus stop and 2-3 mins from downtown. Beds were good and the bathing facility had enough water pressure to take a good bathe everyday. Also special thanks to Jose and the person... More

My friend and I stayed here for three nights in October,we found it to be very comfortable and clean. It's well placed to enjoy the city, a five minute walk from Catalunya square to catch the sightseeing buses which take you all over the city . The beds are comfortable and clean and we felt at home and safe in... More

We stayed at this hotel for one night. The taxi driver had a hard time finding the hotel (it is not on the main street), so we were charged for the time he took to ask a local for directions and his having to backtrack to find it. (The GPS took him to the right location, it was just slightly... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
