It is the second time I stay in this hotel. A great experience as the 1st time or even better, as my room was bigger this time. Perfect location as well. Friendly and helpful staff, comfy room. The only thing were there is room for improvement is the restaurant. I didn't use it for breakfast but for lunch and the... More

Staff was attentive and very helpfful. The location is very Central. Room size was nice with good sized closet space. We would be delighted to be return guests. Food service is limited but multiple choices as well as small markets for beverages and snacks, as well as a Starbucks, are within a 3 minute walk.

Barcelona has so many hotels to choose, and then, when I was trying to understand the small differences between "non traditional chain" Hotels I found a good rate with breakfast for Pulitzer, with a promise of a great location. Arriving was easy with the direct bus from airport to Catalunya Square, steps to the Hotel. Room was small but everything... More

The hotel is superbly located on place de catalunya which is both the center for all public transport including the airport bus which is very conveniently located at the square and leaves every five minutes. As for the hotel itself - over all it was good. The bed was comfortable, good size bathroom and breakfast. Why only good - 2... More

We had a lovely stay at the pulitzer. The staff is really friendly. They helped us out to know which restaurants to go to and what fun activities to do. The rooms are really good. They are roomy and spotless!

This was our second stay at Hotel Pulitzer in Barcelona in successive years and both times we were not disappointed. Perfectly located just off Place de Catalunya city square and to La Rambla, airport bus stop across the square is just 6 euros one way and easy walk to the hotel. Hotel has large comfortable ground floor library, lounge area... More

We couldn't decide where in Barcelona to stay (the Gothic Quarter or Eixample so we spent 3 nights in each area. What a mistake! This hotel was just perfect. It was effortlessly cool and located very close to plaça de catalunya. This means easy access to the Gothic Quarter, La Rambla and the airport bus. (Which was super easy and... More

We travelled many countries so far, but this kind of terrible experience was first time. We stayed here for 3 nights and 4 days. The hotel's location was good but there was some problem with heating system. So we complained several times, but SERGIO, one of the staff who is in reception, was sooooooooooo unkind. When he came to our... More

Dear Mr KWON_YS, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I am very disappointed to hear that you did not enjoy your stay with us. I've been talking to all the employees who were involved in order to understand what really happened. You were complaining about the room being too cold, but it was at 28.5 degrees... More

I had wanted to stay at another hotel but because of visitiing over New Year, that hotel was booked and had to look elsewhere. I booked a stay here after careful research and did not regret it. The hotel is fantastically located just off Placa Catalunya. Although there is a hostel across the road, I was not disturbed at all... More

For the second time we have walked out of a bar in the Pulitzer after waiting 30 – 40 minutes waiting for bar service. The first occasion was on the roof top bar in summer 2014 when 4 of us sat without even being offered a drinks menu. The second occasion was yesterday (2nd January) in the lobby bar, again... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
