The Pulitzer is a very good hotel - it has become my home away from home. I enjoy staying there, not only for its location, cool but comfy rooms, reasonable prices and their awesome rooftop bar, but really it's the human side of the Pulitzer team that keeps me coming back. Always helpful, never a hesitation to assist with a... More

We stayed at this hotel a 3 night weekend in December. Overall a nice hotell with a good location. The breakfast was ok. Kind of small, but the things they had was nice. The biggest plus was the staff that was really warm and helpful and gave us that extra service. Airport bus stops nearby and there is a taxi... More

Stayed here and had a great time. Staff was great, helped us with anything we needed, but the real reason we picked this was for the proximity to the rambla and the rooftop bar. The rooftop was awesome. Had one slow afternoon where we needed to rest sore legs and just wanted to read, check emails and surf the net... More

Being in Barcelona it`s no question in which hotel to stay for a two night stay. In a backstreet at the Plaza de Cataluña,that means right in the heart of the city, where competition is very strong, the Pulitzer is a very good choice. A hotel where you feel at home right from the start, everything is well arranged. The... More

We were recommended by a friend who is a regular visitor to Barcelona and we were not disappointed. The staff all spoke fluent English and very helpful; it is really pleasant to have people who smile all the time. The Hotel is very central (2 mins walk from the Placa de Catalunya). It can get a bit noisy at night... More

It's nice to be able to post a great review, what a great Hotel bang in the centre of Barcelona without having the crowds walking past keeping you awake. 10 seconds walk and you are enjoying Barcelona at its finest the best city centre location I've stayed in. The staff spoke great English, very helpful and great willing to make... More

Very nice and cozy hotel, right next to La Rambla, yet the noise of main street don't bother there. Bus stops to airport are practically next door. Clean rooms, friendly stuff. Minor problems with hot water last morning, but very ok hotel! Little bit hard to find with navigator, but just keep your eyes open :)

My wife had stayed at this hotel for work and as she enjoyed her experience I decided to book one of the few superior rooms for our weekend break to Barcelona. Our flight was due in early but the staff did their absolute best to ensure our room was ready well before the official 14:00 check-in. The superior rooms are... More

This hotel has a great location, near Las Ramblas at short walking distances for several famous places in Barcelona. It is very close to big shops and restaurants. The furniture looked a little worn out and room space was not great, enough though. Very clean. The breakfast was very good. Hotel staff was great and helpful.

We stayed at the Pulitzer at the end of our cruise and were very pleased. We prepaid for the breakfast which had a large assortment of items, very good. The 15 Euro lunch was also very good. The room was a four star and had a large bathroom with bath tub, nice. We had a balcony, but being on a... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
