From the reviews on TripAdvisor and Yelp, I expected this place to be so much more. In fact, they even made it sound like it was an apartment than a hotel, but to my dismay, it was a hotel, a 3 star one at that. For one, it's in the center of everything, which makes it great, but if you're... More

A boutique hotel. Excellent location very close to Catalonia square and the Rambla. Very easy to get from the airport with the bus. Staff courteous, and helpful. Excellent vacation in Barcelona. Very clean.

I' m very happy with my stay at this hotel. Loved the central location, plentiful breakfast with nice pastries and good coffee. The rooftop terrace, with a view of the city. The size of the room is sufficient, and the interiordesign is rather nice. The staff is polite and helpful.

We stayed for my mom's birthday and this really was fantastic. The staff at reception were friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. They noticed it was mom's birthday and so we got back to the room and found a brownie with a candle and a birthday card! At the restaurant, which serves great food, the ladies were also incredibly kind and... More

just around the corner from Les Rambles. Lovely hotel - full of character. Nicely decorated and with very comfortable rooms. Staff are super friendly and can't do enough for you. Breakfast was good - plenty of choice. Only niggle - bed was very wide but not very long. Am not that tall but if I had to sleep straight my... More

We have just returned from a short week in Barcelona, staying at the Hotel Pulitzer. The 4 stars are well attributed. The hotel is situated close to the Place de la Catalunya, the hub of the tourist area, the Aerobus final destination - so only a hort distance to walk with suitcase in tow. Check in was extremely smooth and... More

I would warmly recommend staying with Hotel Pulitzer in Barcelona. Its location is great! I chose it because it is right across the Placa Catalunya, where the airport bus station is. And this was a great choice. It's about 15 minute walk to Casa Batllo, 5 more minutes to Casa Mila. 15 minutes by underground to La Sagrada Familia. 10... More

Basically in placa cataluna but in a small calle so away from traffic noise. The interiors have a classic-modern design. Wood, black stones, leather armchairs. Had a spacious double room with bath. Slippers and bathrobe. No coffee machine or kettle. Free wifi that works everywhere in the hotel. No gym but for 14€ is possible to have access to a... More

Just got back from Barcelona, stayed at the Pulitzer and was very pleased. Pretty and clean boutique hotel in Bergara St. less than a 2 minute walk to Plaza Catunya, Metro Stations, la Rambla and all major attractions. Room was clean, bed was comfy and the in-room tea service is a nice touch. Hot water in shower all the time,... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
