My husband and I stayed at the Itaca hostel in Barcelona in January. The place was very warm and smelled of vanilla. The decor was colorful with painted murals on the walls. The people working there were very nice and helpful. There is a nice lounge area open until 11pm every night. The downstairs has several seats that people gravitate... More

Itaca has to be one of the best hostels I have ever stayed at. It has a great feel, with a lot of character. The rooms are smaller, which is nice. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is a breakfast available. The kitchen, dining, and hangout room/area was really nice. I loved that the walls were painted in bright,... More

This place is quality! The staff are so genuinely friendly and helpful!! We stayed in the newly opened double rooms. There are three double rooms in an apartment, with shared bathroom, kitchen and living area (all of which are an immense space). Every morning breakfast was laid out, the appliances in the kitchen are all brand new, fantastic cooking facilities.... More

We stayed in the family room at one of the apartments (itaca red) that itaca offered with our two kids in January 2012. We enjoyed our stay very much. The apartment is centrally located (supermarket, subway station, and sights within a very short walking distance) and very modern (very well equipped kitchen, spacious rooms, new/ recently renovated rooms). Breakfast is... More

The hotel is in the centre, located in 2 buildings. You must pay 50 euro deposit for your room key. The staff is quite polite, but we did not get back our recharger, which was left in the room - the cleaner does not work any more - this was the only answer ofter having asked the question about it... This hostel can take a while to find, but the journey is part of the fun. It's less a than 10 minute walk from the Cathedral and the Via Laietana, the avenue that takes you from the beach to the north of the city. The rooms are up the stairs and are laid out like a regular house. There's a... More

Very clean and cozy, our room was in the Itaca Blue flat in the in separate building for the main office. We stayed in #4 which had a balcony. The free breakfast was laid out for us in the common kitchen and was delightful. My boyfriend loved the one cup coffee/espresso maker which you can use any time. The common... More

The hostel was small but nice and clean, but the best thing about it was the staff's friendliness! Even at night, my friend and i were always welcomed with a huge smile and great tips. If you are looking for privacy, this is definitely not the right place, as the rooms are very big and mixed, but if you want... More

This is probably one of the best hostels I've stayed in. It is super clean, fresh towels in the bathroom every few hours, the roomsa re quiet at night and every bed has a huge locker. The breakfast is 2.50euros but its worth it, and the hostel is very secure as you have to buzz the bell to get in.... More
