The hotel is not cheap compared to the size of the rooms, however the location is wonderful with many of the major sights and shopping/entertainment areas within easy reach by foot. Also there is a metro station not far away. The room itself is not bad, a bit small and the view (at least from my room) is the wall... More

The hotel has two buildings, one on a main street and one ~2 min walk away. We stayed in a suite at the second building. The room was spacious and comfortable. The price for the suite is a bit more, but I recommend it rather than staying in the main hotel where the rooms are a bit smaller. Good location... More

I was travelling by myself to join up with a business tour - this hotel was recommended to me and it was perfect. I loved being in the heart of the Born (the medieval quarter which is one of the best parts of Barcelona) it was perfect for many attractions - incredible shops and restaurants, there is a train station... Just back from Barcelona and stayed in this boutique hotel located very close to a metro. Overall the visit was fine, rooms were clean, comfortable and compact. From this location you can visit lots of Barcelona's' famous sites. Staff friendly, overall a pleasant stay.

Great location. Absolutely love the Born district and this little boutique hotel is a little gem. Rooms are light, airy and clean. Super comfy bed. Only negative is that the walls are rather thin, which if you have noisy neighbours can be a little annoying. We didn't eat at the hotel. We had breakfast at a little cafe about 30seconds... More

We booked this hotel for New Year 2014/2015 early -probably 10 months ahead. We decided to go to Barcelona for new year for the first time, & wanted to be very centrally located. As Banys is in the Born, it was perfect. We looked carefully on the website & booked a suite. The hotel were very helpful prior to our... More

The hotel is in the heart of the Barrio Gotico, its position couldn't be better. Adjacent to the tube station, plenty of shops, bars, restaurants nearby, very close to museums and attractions, 10 minutes walk from the seaside. The position is worth the price but: - the rooms were not really well-cleaned - probably because the floor is black the... More

Great location, good restaurants and bars in immediate vicinity. The suite we stayed in was approx. 300/400 metres from hotel, so rather inconvenient when trying to sort out the odd issue that invariably arises. Tea, coffee and water provided at outset but not replaced during our 4 night stay. Keys to the building were a poor fit, and a considerable... More

My husband and I stayed here for several nights recently. The location - in the heart of Barri Gotic was excellent. We were close to great restaurants, really interesting shops and the people were very friendly. The room was on the smaller side but more than adequate with a desk for working and really good internet for what seemed like... More

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
