Disappointing suite as it lacked fresh painting and brooming. Room was serviced everyday, towels were changed when needed and sheets were changed once during the 3 nights, which was fine, but no brooming once ! It was my second time at the hotel. 220 €/night for three (around 40 € for third person per night). Fridge in the room to... More

The hotel is located in the most vibrant and beautiful area of Barcelona, the EL Born. You can find a great number of the best tapas bars, restaurants and bars in the area. We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and we really enjoyed our stay. Our room was spacious, decorated in a modern way with a spacious and... More

This hotel was perfect in every way. The staff were always friendly and helpful staff. The location is without a doubt the best in Barcelona, right in the middle of the El Born district. Beautiful, clean rooms with very comfy large beds and a gorgeous little balcony overlooking the old town. And great air-con and wi-fi. Thank you for such... More

This hotel was a positive surprise. Everything seems to be small and nice in this hotel. Room was quite small, but cozy. Best of all was the small french balcony with vivid pedestrian street views. I had room 309 which I liked alot. Could see the sky above the roofs when laying on the bed and planning where to head... More

While the location is very nice, the beds in this hotel are awful. Sleeping on the floor is probably better then sleeping in the bed, it is very hard and the rooms are way too small. We asked whether something could be done about the bed, but nothing could be done. The hotel is however close to the beach, so... More

This hotel is in a great location. We just loved the neighborhood. Hotel is clean and the rooms are nice. The downside is the room had few lights so it was hard to see. Hotel staff were polite but not terribly friendly (with one late night exception). Overall I would recommend this hotel

Our second stay at this hotel. Very convenient location with all the interesting neighborhoods of Barcelona within walking distance. Also plenty of great tapas bars just down the street. Hotel is great. Modern rooms and courteous service. Great plus during the hot summer was the free of charge chilled water bottles free for the taking on each floor. Only drawback... More

We couldn't have been happier with the location of this hotel in the El Borne area of Barcelona. Down a pedestrianised street surrounded by unique boutiques & shops, great restaurants, minutes from the Picasso Museum and an easy walk to the beach. The room was a good size with a huge king size bed and nicely decorated. Unfortunately when we... More

Great location! We stayed in the suites...they had the most comfortable bed of our trip, clean, quiet, and spacious rooms, and we were a pleasant 10 minute walk to the beach. The staff was excellent...they walked us to the suites, helped us make tour reservations (while also providing valuable feedback about Barcelona’s sites), quickly fixed our safe after we accidentally... We stayed in the apartments which are a 3 minute walk from reception which surprisingly worked out really well for us. Firstly the location is excellent in Borne, but close to the gothic quarter, you feel part of the city and not stuck away in a large tourist hotel. The rooms are nicely decorated and spacious with invisible and efficient... More

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
