Great location! We stayed in the suites...they had the most comfortable bed of our trip, clean, quiet, and spacious rooms, and we were a pleasant 10 minute walk to the beach. The staff was excellent...they walked us to the suites, helped us make tour reservations (while also providing valuable feedback about Barcelona’s sites), quickly fixed our safe after we accidentally... We stayed in the apartments which are a 3 minute walk from reception which surprisingly worked out really well for us. Firstly the location is excellent in Borne, but close to the gothic quarter, you feel part of the city and not stuck away in a large tourist hotel. The rooms are nicely decorated and spacious with invisible and efficient... More

We were recommended this hotel by a Barcelonan friend. The location is fantastic and the prices are ok for the area in peak season. The hotel generally appeared to be very nice and has 24 hour service (which we needed, as we had a late flight). We had room 100, which is the only room on a floor located between... More

First off let me say I a indebted to the staff. They were AMAZING!!! Barcelona was my first stop in Spain. When I checked into the hotel I realized my new iPhone 6 plus had fallen out of my pocket during the cab ride from the airport. Luckily I had asked for a hand written receipt from the cab driver... Room: a bit on the small side, ONLY reason I didn't give a 5. Still very clean and bed was large and comfy for 2 people. Excellent wifi :) Staff: Wonderful! Very friendly and helpful, would make recommendations and write the routes on a map for us. Location: After visiting Barcelona, I would not have wanted to be in any... More

Staff are attentive and helpful. Rooms are chic and hotel is in historic building. Cannot get a better location near Basilica Santa Maria in the Born. Clean and modern appointments. I just wish there was actually a spa there, as the name would suggest.

Stayed here in June 2015. Went to Barcelona for a western Mediterranean Cruise and stayed here before the cruise. We had a large group of 6 families and they accomidated us with no problems. The Juame metro stop is close by. Short walk to Las Rambla. Great location with good restaurants and shopping. Hotel arranged for taxis to take our... More

In the old city, handy to the Metro, clean and well presented. Some nice surprises like free bottled water. No fridge, kettle, iron or hair dryer so just a room and bathroom but this is as advertised do no nasty surprises.

Not the easiest hotel to find, but a great one! Close to "La Rambla" and a lot of restaurants this hotel is perfect if you are in town for a few days- it's close to most things. Even the beach is within walking distance. Breakfast is great and Spanish influensed with great cheeses and hams among other things. The rooms... More

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
