Nice Hotel! although the suites are outside the hotel, it was very clean, the guy Anderson in the front desk, gave us excellent tips on where to eat, and were to go. Nice guy! Went with my wife and 6 year old girl and had an great experience. Hope to come back once again.

As many reviewers have noted the hotel is well located in the Born area : convenient to restaurants , bars & boutique shops. Close to metro as well. The breakfast area is pleasant but the spread is average in quality. (Dinner offered at the restaurant next door - same general owner - was quite good) Our room was somewhat of... More

Could not be better for Gothic Quarter, shopping and starting point of sight seeing. Staff goes out of their way to be friendly and efficient. Rooms are smaller than expected but quite. A bit dated overall, but this adds to the charm and is in sync with the neighbourhood.

We stayed at this hotel in September 2015. What a wonderful location. We were able to walk everywhere we needed to go. Service was outstanding. the beach was just a 20 minute walk. The restaurants in the area are all great. We would stay at this hotel again.

The location was great - close to metro and cute area to walk around. There was nothing remarkable about the room. Bed wasnt exactly comfortable but did its job. We showed up at 1 am to check in (our flight got delayed several hours) and the overnight receptionist wasn't very warm and welcoming. The day time receptionists, on the other... More

Basic cleaning but this hotel isn't well maintained. The location is ideal, breakfast delicious and LOVE staying in El Born. The restaurant is DELICIOUS and service is adequate. The rooms are a decent size but the dust balls, scuff marks on the walls and fingerprints are a turn off!! Really unfortunate because the hotel has tremendous opportunity!

Perfect location, just off Metro stn. (Tho admittedly difficult to find the first time without a map -- plan ahead.) Affordable, but elegant. Converted bldg is sophisticated-quirky. Staff senses what you need and accommodates accordingly.

Our second visit to this hotel but this time they allocated us a really poor room. Room 100 is one flight of stairs up from the reception. It overlooks an alley where the staff door to the hotel is and where the dustbins are kept. Just outside the door to our room were a couple of store cupboards and a... More

Here is a list of the problems we had: -our suite was a 2-3 minute walk from the main hotel -it is located in an apartment building with barking dogs -at night it is was very dark and creepy -there is a homeless man that was living on the side of the building all hours of the day and night... The staff at this hotel are amazing and the location is perfect for exploring Old Town Barcelona. From this hotel we could walk to the Ramblas, Barri Gotic, Sagrada Familia, Port Vell and many, many other locations. Not to mention the Metro if you need it, is right up the block. We stayed three nights in the larger suites, not... More

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
