In the old city, handy to the Metro, clean and well presented. Some nice surprises like free bottled water. No fridge, kettle, iron or hair dryer so just a room and bathroom but this is as advertised do no nasty surprises.

Not the easiest hotel to find, but a great one! Close to "La Rambla" and a lot of restaurants this hotel is perfect if you are in town for a few days- it's close to most things. Even the beach is within walking distance. Breakfast is great and Spanish influensed with great cheeses and hams among other things. The rooms... More

Went to Barcelona for buisness and the hotel was perfectly situated close to shopping and with lots if cozy restaurants close by. The rooms are nice and clean and modernly decorated. The noice from the street can sometimes be heard, but it did not vithet me. Overall 3 really good days in Barcelona.

This hotel is well situated and has a fantastic restaurant. However, the rooms are very small (much smaller than appears in the photographs). I found the decor outside of the rooms to be nice, but the rooms themselves felt like dorm rooms. You could hear the person in the next room as if they were in the same bed with... More

We stayed in this hotel for a week. It is a good quality three star hotel in a very good area. The room was small but well fitted out and cleaned every day. The products in the bathroom were replaced every day and there was complimentary water in a fridge on the landing. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.... More

Well run centrally located hotel. Nice room quiet, clean, modern, spacious. Metro 1/2 block away. Nice pedestrian street with good restaurants and interesting shops. Front desk personnel were very helpful. All spoke English.

My husband and I were looking for a small, quiet hotel for our stay after our cruise. We were not disappointed. Upon arrival we were greated by Catlilla, who was most helpful and friendly. I had requested a quiet room and were given room 402, top floor rear of the hotel. The room was small, but adequate. The bathroom was... More

I had a great week end in Barcelona and enjoyed a stay at the Bany Orientals. It is placed in the Born, one of the nicest spots in Barna and conveniently located to walk to downtown as well as to the Barceloneta; the barrio Gotico and the Rambla are just a 10min walk away. Deco is a nice mix of... More

When choosing accomodation in a city like Barcelona, location is truly the most important thing. Banys is situated in the heart of El Born with all its restaurants, bars and narrow alleyways. Both the beach and The Rambla are within walking distance, and Banys makes an excellent base for exploring the city. The metro station is less than 100 m... More

We stayed here after adding a couple of extra nights in Barcelona after I broke my foot in Marrakech, and we stayed in a wheelchair accessible room on the restaurant floor -- room 100. So my take on the hotel maybe different from the average visitor's. Our room was huge, as was the bathroom. There was free and replenished waters... More

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
