Average, economically priced hotel. Has a metro stop near by whcih is two stops away from the main square Plaza Catalunya/Aerobus stop. Aerobus is the most convenient way to and from the airport. Wifi was good. Helpful reception. Bathroom Ok. Not the most happening place in town though. The beds were not comfy. Heating was also not great.

Location Great. Just a few mins from the metro. Around 20 mins walk to La Rambla. Reception staff did there job "reception" thats all i can say about them. Rooms are clean and a little worn, could do with some TLC. AC worked well and bathroom was good and clean. Lots of hot water. A good 1 star Hotel. Would i... More

This hotel is located around 3-5 mins from a metro station (Paral.lel), which connects to Barcelona's main attractions. Excellent location! around 30mins walking distance from La Rambla (5mins by metro from here). Staff was very helpful and available at reception 24/7. Room was clean (cleaned every morning), good sized, had large windows overlooking street, and A/C. I would definitely recommend... More

My wife and I spent 3 nights at the Coronado in Barcelona in September 2013. We were looking for somewhere as central as possible but not too expensive. This hotel was really good ! The location is excellent. Just a 10-15 minute walk from Las Ramblas and maybe 20 minutes from Placa de Espanya. We took a taxi from the... More

We were really impressed by the brilliant value this hotel offered. Loved the location (really close to las Ramblas) and they offered us our own little duplex apartment on arrival, rather than 2 rooms in the hotel, which was perfect and suited our group of 4 to a T. Staff were helpful and we were able to leave our luggage... More

Well located to discover the city, within an area that lets you get a real taste of Barcelona. Rooms are basic clean but alittle on small side. Breakfast was reasonable, at €5 each, though the pastry selection was decidedly better on the Sunday compared to Monday and Tuesday of our stay.

Due to the Barcelona marathon we had specific dates that we needed a place to stay and because we booked late most places were booked solid. We were able to get a reservation and stayed at this hotel during our visit to Barcelona. It is a budget hotel. The beds were not comfortable, the cleanliness was questionable, the breakfast I... The hotel is located in a walking distance of La Rambla, right under the hill Montjuic, in a reasonably quiet area. La Rambla is the main tourist artery of Barcelona. Quite comfortable and reasonably priced. One of the Gaudi houses is located on the same street. Access to number of variety stores to get some basic supplies.

Went with my family, and we were 9 people who stayed here, and overall we were satisfied. A nice and close-by hotel in Barcelona. Not the biggest and best, but very nice hotel for just sleeping while the big city awaits. The service was good, and friendly. Free and fast WiFi witch is a +. The rooms where OK big... More

We paied only 35€ for this hotel. Location is nice. Staff is nice too but receptionst's English is a bit poor but still enoght to have a basic conversation. Room is OK, especially bathroom looking like new. Just one negative point: the quality of the bed is a bit too old (would be OK for a 1 star hotel but... More

Staying in Montjuic

Neighborhood Profile
Montjuic
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colorful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
