The hotel is very central located, but with very simple comfort. I´ve been thre several years ago, the rooms have been better then and they had a buffet breakfast. There are better hostals or hotels then this, in the night it´s very loud aoutside, because of people at the place in front of.

We arrived at Hotel at around 11pm, easy enough to find after taking the aerobus from Barcelona airport to central Barcelona , I agree with other reviews that at first glance this hotel looks a bit rough but be assured it is a little gem . The hotel is a couple of minutes walk from Las Rambles, handy tip, when... More

Basic hotel, you basically get what you pay for. Very good location – close to Las Ramblas, museums, cathedral, coast. Rooms was very basic, but was clean and was tidied up every day - somebody was making sure there are neat bed waiting for us when we come back and we were provided with fresh towels, soap/showergels every day. Sometimes... More

This hotel does bed and breakfast at a really good price. The rooms are basic but very adequate. The staff are really friendly and can speak English which is always a bonus for us ignorant English. Ha I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to explore Barcelona. 👍🏻

We read some negative reviews before we travelled to Barcelona about this hotel so we were very nervous. We got the bus from Barcelona airport to the les Rambles strip. As we walked down a creepy side road to get to the hotel ( which is 5 minutes from les rambles strip) we began to feel very nervous, it is... More

The best thing about Hotel Barbara is the location. Its walking distance to La Ramblas and gothic quarter of Barcelona. its very convenient to move around city from there. There are lot of restaurants and shopping options. The hotel rooms are small but good enough to sleep. they do not have wifi inside the room but you can have access... More

It is not well kept, in a dodgy area. Didn't expect much but this was far less than what I expected and definitely different to the pictures I saw online, the rooms are stingy, the bathroom felt like something you would find in an old hostel and didn't quite feel safe in the room itself. However on a side note,... More

The location of this hotel is very good, it was only a few minutes walk to La Rambla so very central for eating, shopping, metro, beach and sighteeing generally. Unfortunattely, the room we had, had not been thoroughly cleaned after refurbishment. There were no shelves for clothes and only a very small wardrobe. The breakfast was sufficient but very basic,... The room was boiling hot, supposedly air-conditioned when realistically, it was just blowing hot air around. The shower was IN the hotel room, facing the bed with a transparent shower curtain - no privacy at all. The toilet didn't flush properly. The paint was peeling off the headboard, the pillows were flat as pancakes. Scariest of all, there were loose feminine... More

If you're staying for one or two nights and you want something central but cheap then this hotel is for you. Earplugs is recommended. Staff is friendly but I'm not sure room security is the best. They charged 4 euros extra per night for the safe in the room. I would recommend it if you have valuables in the room.... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
