The only downside (reason why 4* and not 5*) is that there isn't a fridge in the room, but other than that eveything else was excellent. Good wifi, comfortable bed, nice powerful shower, good maid service, the room was nicely made for us every evening when we got back in. We paid for breakfast which runs from 7.30 til 10.30... More

You can walk to many attractions, restaurants and shopping from here, as well as to the beach. The rooms are clean and we were on the back side, so quiet. Not overly large but not small enough as to feel cramped. Bath was a decent size as well. Staff friendly and very helpful with any requests you might have. Breakfast... More

The hotel is nice and clean and very close to the action with just a 10 min walk to La Rambla. The double room was very small and although it was nice we asked to move as the ac did not work properly. They moved us to a twin room which was much bigger and better. The breakfast was ok,... More

We stayed in Auto Hogar for two nights. We were a little worried because we had some issues making the reservations, but we had a very good experience. First, the location is fantastic. It's right off the metro at the Para-lel stop, and a few fun, lively blocks away from the bustle of Las Ramblas. The staff was very helpful.... More

Stayed here from Friday 10th April-Monday 13th April for a friends stag do. In total we had 12 in our party and we all found the hotel very pleasant, the rooms were lovely and the beds comfy. The staff at the hotel were amazing and accommodated us brilliantly. It's ideal for nights out in la Rambla as its a 10... More

Could not fault hotel. Rooms modern, clean and spacious just ask for a room away from the front of hotel due to noise at night (only fault) Breakfast plenty of choice from cooked, cold meats, fresh bread, cereals and sweet Danishes, hot&scold drinks. Location is great a few minutes walk from metro and 10 minutes to Las Ramblas. If you want to get... More

The weekend in Barcelona was great! But for this greatness the Auto Hogar Hotel didn't leave any mark that deserve my compliments. The hotel has two blocks and to get to the 2nd block you have to cross the parking lot. Maybe due the distance the maids get tired along the way and the rooms are not so clean. The... More

Having stayed in Barcelona on several occasions this is by far the best hotel I've had for the money. Rooms are clean and modern with an exceptionally comfortable bed. Bathroom is modern with a wet room type shower with waterfall shower head. Staff helpful, location great, right outside Parallel Metro Station and within a ten minute walk of La Ramblas.... More

The rooms are nicely updated and clean. They are à little noisy. Plenty of choice at breakfast. Not always a lot of fruit but most times there were oranges. Service was friendly and helpfull. They have a luggage storage room with (payed) lockers. The location is excellent, right next to the subway and 15 minute walk to the harbour and... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
