Without knowing too much about hotels in Barcelona chose this one as did not want to be pitched in with crowds near Plaza Cataluya or Ramblas. It is at the top end of the expensive shopping street of Passeig de Gracia in fact next door to Stella McCartney's store and opposite a swanky hotel Omm. We had a great room... More

I stayed in Hotel Actual for 1 night in February 2015. Had a great experience. It's a small hotel with rather small rooms but very comfortable and I had everything I needed. Hotel staff very helpful and friendly. Location is absolutely prime. You just walk out and you are in Passeig de Gracia and you have a metro station right... More

This is in the Eixample, about a block from Gaudi's Casa Mila. We stayed six nights, so they gave us a good room. Very quiet, comfortable, clean. The location is great because Barcelona is very walkable. Many folks on the street, even late at night. Near many restaurants and fancy shops, walking distance to Sagrada Familia. Ramblas and Bari Gothic... More

My wife and I visited this hotel for four nights over New Years Eve 2014/2015 to celebrate my 60th birthday. It is very well located for exploring Barcelona, The gothic quarter and Roman walls are 15 mins walk away, the The Sagrada Família is 10 minutes walk, the Casa Milà and Casa Batlló 5 minutes walk away, the port is... We arrived en masse and they proceeded our check in quickly. The room and bathroom was immaculate and very comfortable.. Once I stashed my luggage and securely placed my items in the room safe, we were off to to explore the city. The location was perfect and we walked all the way down to the waterfront. After a long day... More

When considering hotels & resturants that we have reviewed formost in mind is the price, quality, value ratio. The Actual does really get full marks and it's location can not be bettered. Stylish, extremely comfortable, good service, you could pay awfully more and not have the quality of the Actual. We could not recommend this hotel more highly.

We have stayed at Hotel Actual 2 times in the past 3 years. It is in a great location, on the Passeig de Gracia, with in walking distance to almost everything and tons of restaurant. The breakfast buffet is good, the rooms are not large, but very nice and very clean. I would recommend this hotel highly!

A good location, near metro station Diagonal. Clean room and bathroom. Helpful and cheerful staff. Reasonable price for an expensive city. Near a lot of cafes. The hip hop tourist bus stop is just a 3 minutes walk. A very good experience. i enjoyed my stay there.

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
