One guest elevator out of use and had been for over a month, second lift broke down so it was the service elevator in use. Air conditioning that isn't switched on in the Spanish winter, in Barcelona? Room was very warm and this made sleeping on a rather uncomfortable bed difficult and restless. Fitness suite that had three machines and... More

Front desk staff was friendly, when present. Particularly the night clerk who really tried to help with a booking issue. There was insufficient help at the front desk and the staff wasn't particularly knowledgable. When I asked for assistance to locate a restaurant, the front desk day clerk had difficulty finding even the street where it was located. I saw... More

Location is just spectacular and staff is very friendly. Breakfast is good and wish to highlight that there's a great guys undernamed Romi who makes the best omelettes in the city! Just amazing and he is super friendly, always smiling! He made our mornings. The hotel is a standard 4 stars and value for money is acceptable. Go for it!

Freindly reception at this Exeimple hotel, just a few blocks from the main square (Placa Catalunya), the main fashionable shopping street (Passeig de Gracia) and Gaudi's La Pedrera. We spent a couple of nights there for a conference in January so can't report on the rooftop swimming pool but the room was well appointed and soundproofed against traffic noise, the... More

Lovely staff in this well located, well priced hotel, although the room was over heated. Probably has to do with the age, although hotel has been renovated. Whenever I had a criticism, cracked bidet and sink I reminded myself..."80€". Super clean, very comfortable and quiet.

The front desk staff was wonderful, very helpful & spoke excellent English, as my ability to speak Espanol, let alone Catalan, would leave me helpless. I appreciated that we could check into the room early (around 1:30 pm). As others mentioned, it was hot in the room at night (end of November) & we opened the windows of the Juliet... More

We were part of a tour and arrived before on a Sunday before noon - the staff was very helpful to find us a clean room where we could recover from jet lag. In the center of the city, good value as well. However, no air conditioning in the winter time for any rooms. Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
