I booked this place because of the reviews here but it hasn't been great for us. We are meant to be here for seven days but I don't think we will last the duration. Our first room was 104 and it felt like we had landed in a youth hostel basement. The room was so small you had to jump... More

Clean rooms, friendly stuff, good breakfast, perfect location, very close to Placa de Catalunya, La Rambla, Casa Mila, Casa Battlo which are the must places to see in Barcelona. Just the reception could work faster.

In the last 25 years use to travel a lot for business with my company (one of the biggest Tech provider) and I have always been treated with respect. I just returned from Barcelona and stayed 8 nights at the Catalonia Eixample hotel. It is located very conveniently a couple blocks off Paseo de Gracia and near two metro stops (Paseo de Gracia on L3 and Girona on L4). There are several nice restaurants very close by, as well as markets. The location is optimal for exploring Barcelona. However,... More

Hotel is clean and spacious, staff was very warm and helpful, great location. Basically perfect for an urban vacation in BCN. The blankets in the room were a bit worn down but that's about it. Overall we had a great stay.

One guest elevator out of use and had been for over a month, second lift broke down so it was the service elevator in use. Air conditioning that isn't switched on in the Spanish winter, in Barcelona? Front desk staff was friendly, when present. Particularly the night clerk who really tried to help with a booking issue. Location is just spectacular and staff is very friendly. Breakfast is good and wish to highlight that there's a great guys undernamed Romi who makes the best omelettes in the city! Just amazing and he is super friendly, always smiling! He made our mornings. The hotel is a standard 4 stars and value for money is acceptable. Go for it!

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
