Good location, clean facilities, 24 hour reception, quiet at night, tour offers, etc. But our dorm was extremely hot/warm at night, so we wasn't able to get a good sleep. A fan or AC would be wonderful!

The Hostel has an excellent location, a metro station is around the corner and you can reach a lot of things by foot. There is a good atmosphere, the stuff is very helpful. Breakfast isn't more than you would expect, there is a choice of cereals and toast with jam, fresh apples and free drinks. You can decide to take... More

Well located, solo only trip is good but couple or group not intersting at all just expensive and meaningless to go to a hostel depends on the price you can have of course. Service was poor and personal at the reception great. The dirty part is they need more personal a dish machine that really cleans the dishes from microbes... More

The room has no AC and it was very hot. It was impossible to sleep because of the noise. Breakfast was really poor. The rest of the hostel was ok and the location was excellent. I would recommend to ask for a specific room.

The staff were very kind and helpfull, the location is excellent, near Jaume I metro station and places that you should know. The breakfest is really good, there a lot of options and you can use the kitchen during the day. We stayed in a room for 18 people and the layout makes you feel with some privacity. The showers... Really good located at the border between Ribera and Barri Gotic next to the Cathedral, the Picasso Museum and the modern art museum. buses and metros in front of the door, all kind of restaurant near the hostel. Nice decorated on an artistic way, original organisation of the room, confortable common places

This is the perfect hostel for a young backpacker who comes prepared with towel, sheet, padlock and shower flip flops. The breakfast is decent and they have a good wifi setup. Not the place for someone hotel-minded.

weaknesses: Very high bunk beds with few proteccion fences, The soil seems to be breakable. I think that the stairs to "climb" to the bed are dangerous. In addition you should be carefull with cables and pipes you will find up there. strengths: Good atmosphere, the best location and privacy in the room.

acommodations. No AC. Dirty baths. The service is regular. Bad and unconfortable beds. The baths were always dirty. The hostel is in the epic district of Barcelona, good location. Is a cheap hostel but it needs to get better

Where do I start, the moment we arrived we were rudely acknowledged by the totally unhelpful staff. From there our 4 nights really didn't improve, where our room was full (14bed dorm). The room had no circulation apart from 2 small windows so it was certainly a struggle to sleep. We were not recommended any sites, restaurants, attractions at all.... More

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
