Very nice hostel for the price. The location is amazing (gothic area, 30 sec from metro Jumel I), 5 - 10 minutes walking to the ramblas + : price, location, rooftop, dorm rooms, breakfast included - : kitchen (ridiculously small for the size of the hostel!), noisy wooden floor in the rooms, no extra sheet for the bed, better take... excellent place and very good position near Rambla and metro station "Jaume I" negative aspects: the room's floor is too much noisy, and when people coming into room in the night, the noise wakes up the other people who are sleeping. you can't lower or raise the air conditioning independently, but is controlled by the front desk, so you have... I liked the hostel, I had a nice time there. Rooms were ok, although the light turns off after a few minutes of being on. And they just give you one sheet to cover the couch. There's air conditioner. Showers are good too. There's a nice terrace but it closes at 11, and the common place also closes around mid... More

Advantages: location. Not far from Rambla and seafront, metro is a few steps. Disadvantages: it can be noisy because there are cafes and bars at the street. In general it's good variant for some nights.

I like this hostel! Don't expect anything luxurious but the location is worth it! The rooms and bathroom were clean. The staff was really helpful and nice. The only thing I can complain about is that they charge you 1EUR extra per night when you pay with the credit card.

Good situation: close to the beach and city. Also metro station is just around the corner. Staff was friendly and speak English, but it is good to know a few words of Spanish. It was good that breakfast was included, close to the hostel is a lot of restaurants.

It really wasn't too bad but it could've been better. The beds weren't the most comfortable and it was a very interestingly set up hostel. The top bunks were REALLY tall. The location wasn't as good as I was expecting but for the price it was a fine place to stay.

Good value for money, good facilities. Working wifi and a general good vibe about the place. The bunks in the big dorms are cool, the ladders are a death trap but the top bunks are like cute little cubby houses. Staff are helpful, even if the night guy is a bit of a grump, and the hostel is in a... More

Good location, clean facilities, 24 hour reception, quiet at night, tour offers, etc. But our dorm was extremely hot/warm at night, so we wasn't able to get a good sleep. A fan or AC would be wonderful!

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
