The hotel location is central close to las rambla. The rooms were clean and towels were changed daily.Although you could hear the people in the room beside you and the room was very small. The breakfast was nice.

Spain seems to do hotels well, particularly in terms of bang for your buck (or euro). Hotel Condes is located in the upscale Eixample neighborhood, a great location in terms of access to restaurants and shops but without the overly touristy hype of the area near la Rambla. The room I was first given faced the street. Unfortunately the double-glazed... More

Situated across the road from the University - therefore it's a busy place, but great base for city break - only 5 minutes walk to The Rambles. We stayed in room 196 had balcony overlooking university. Room was basic, but relatively modern - some of the rooms we saw when cleaners were in looked in need of revamp. Towels were... More

The reception staff were friendly although not too keen on lifting cases up the four steps you need to get to lift. Very small reception but I think there is going to be changes. Room was large with 3 single beds as requested. There was no view as I think we were at back but frosted window so could not... More

Expensive for what you get. £100/€105 per night for a double room. Small rooms, walls are ridiculously thin as you can hear everything, yes everything! You really need earplugs to sleep. But comfortable bed. Inefficient aircon. Breakfast is very poor and everything kept running out and the breakfast staff were very surly. Desk staff were helpful and friendly. Location is... More

Clean and basic we asked for a quiet room and got it. Beds are really cots, so don't expect a super comfortable bed! Iit does have free rental bikes for guests. No breakfast but close o Starbucks so I was happy!

Within 5 minutes walk to the Ramblas, and situated at the Aerobus stop ideal for the airport connection. This Hotel is affordable clean and basic. Just what you need for a short city trip. They also have baggage lockers for 2 euro you can leave your bags locked up for up to 24 hours.

I really liked the location close to the aerobus stop from the airport. Walking distance to Placa Catalunya, La Rambla and Gaudi houses. Reception is very courteous and helpful. The rooms are nice with a great view but unfortunately the walls are super thin, I was traveling with my 15 yr old daughter and the couple in the next room... More

I stayed for several nights and found the hotel to be clean, priced right and in the right location from which to travel to all points in the city. You won't be blown away by the service but it's expected for the price. I would stay again.

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
