Stayed here on a stag do with 15 others last week and having read a number of previous reviews, I had a slight feeling of trepidation. However, I need not have worried. The hotel is clean and the facilities are good with the only thing missing being air conditioning. There are vending machines in reception providing cheap cold drinks and... More

The beds were very bad. I would not really call what they served a breakfast. It was milk, coffe, juce, whitebread and butter and Jam. That´s all not cheese or greens. The room that we had was a 5 bed one and their was only 1 small closet so it was very hard to have luggage.

Excellent location! you should ask for room with aircon so you will enjoy staying at the hotel. Thanks to receptionists staff, especially Joanna, we had big room with aircon. there is very noicy outside therefore it's impossible to sleep in room without AC.

It's nice to be in Barcelona. The first night we spent the night, we slept not so much as one of vacating has no aircontidion - but we are lucky that we were moved to another room with aircontidion. We were surprised that the receptionists and cleaning ladies and the canteen is so friendly, and we feel that we are... More

I was pretty excited about the location of this hotel, but when I went up to my room 4 levels up, it was incredibly hot, incredibly small, there was no air conditioning, and the TV didn't work. When I say it was incredibly hot...I had to push the bed in front of the window, jerryrig a way to balance the... More

Just returned from this hotel. 30 degrees at night and the rooms don't have air conditioning. Just electric fans - but there are hardly any power sockets. There were two of us in the room and we could only have one fan on as we both needed to charge our mobiles. Three sockets is not enough - take an extension... More

We have just come back from here and I would definitely not advise anyone to stay in this hotel. It is in a great location on the square and ideal for seeing Barcelona, the staff are also really nice and helpful. However, there is no air conditioning, only a fan which blows around the hot air in the room, this... More

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
