Although we were in a suburb the traffic noise was still awful unless the shutters were closed. Nice big bathroom with bath and shower and lovely queen size bed. Able to hear neighbours all the time as usual in Barcelona. Don't bother with breakfast as the pastries looked tired and hot food was not well cooked. There were several nice... More

This hotel was far from expected in a hotel. The bed headboard was burnt, one of the bedside lamps wasn't working, there was nothing in the fridge, and we forgot 2 cosmetics in the shower floor that were quite expensive and one of them magically dissapeared when we called back...

Advantages: Great location, the stuff is generally polite. The room is quite old but everything clean. The bed was also comfortable. Disadvantages: Really the only reason why I have given it a low score is because of horrendously noisy air con. There is no central heating and the room is supposed to be heated by an air conditioning system, which... More

I stayed in Hotel Carlit in Spring 2014 with two friends. The hotel is conveniently close to breakfast places, restaurants, bars, sights (La Sagrada Familia is less than a 10 minute walk!) as well as the underground. We were very happy with the reception staff who were very friendly and helpful! The room was rather basic but clean and big... More

I read some mixed reviews of this hotel but really couldn't fault it. It's in a great part of the city, away from the tourist hustle and bustle, which is great for eating in reasonably priced, delicious restaurants (the Catalan place 3 doors down on the corner was great and really good value, as was the pizza place two doors... This is a great hotel if you are on a budget. The rooms are clean. The shower is pretty big. The rooms are also pretty big. It looks pretty modern. There are lots of tv channels. At night it's pretty quiet. The beds are comfy. There is a nearby metro station named Tetuan. There are a few restsurants around the... More

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel (during a eurotrip) the room was clean, came with a fridge, good WiFi. Walls were thin but the noise didn't keep us from sleeping. We didn't opt for their breakfast, you can find bakeries a fews minutes away from there. The shower was strange, water can spill if you're not careful but didn't... More

We had a room for 3 nights. The staff were very nice and helpful. Although the walls are thin we had a great time . Unlike other hotels with this star rank, We had an empty little fridge in the room. It was great! The hotel is well located. Very close to the metro.

If you are looking for good value then this hotel fits the bill. A few things to clarify (1) it is about a 20 min walk from the drop off point for the Airport Bus (centre of Barcelona). We did this daily and was fine. There is also a metro stop if you don't want to walk. (2) the standard... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
