Booked this hotel based on trip advisor reviews and looking for hotel close to Las Ramblas and beach/port. Location was excellent, staff were very helpful but did request a room with balcony prior to arrival and was disappointed to be given a room with a half moon shaped window on first floor. On second night of stay was met by... More

Stayed here for four nights on my first visit to Barcelona based on reviews from TripAdvisor for it's location and positive reviews on their service. On check-in, I was greeted by the friendly staff and with a welcome drink. They offered to take my bags to the room so that I could enjoy the rooftop bar. The room I stayed... More

We stayed here for a short break during the Easter holidays. Very friendly and helpful staff, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is lovely and clean, rooms are comfortable and quiet. Lovely to sit on the roof terrace having cocktails overlooking the harbour during the evening. Breakfast was lovely, great choice of food and lovely to have classical music... More

The location of the hotel was perfect as we visited many places in 3 days we stayed in Barcelona. The hotel itself was were clean, nice decoration and the staff was helpful and a great view from the terrace. Bus link to Nue Camp and Airport was just outside the hotel. La Ramblas and some of Gaudi's work was 10min... More

Hotel staff were very friendly and efficient . We arrived slightly earlier than check-in time (3pm) and only had to wait 15 minutes on the terrace with a complimentary drink. Location is very good, close to the beach, Las Ramblas, shops and restaurants. It's in the Gothic quarter so there are lot's of small alleys to explore which have local... More

This is a wonderful hotel! It's in a great area along the waterfront and close to all the action. Upon arrival we were offered champagne, there were chocolates on the bed daily, in addition to a selection of room scents to choose from-- just a few extra perks that you no longer see at most hotels. The rooftop was also... More

We stayed for a short break in April. The location overlooking Port Vell is excellent. Easy access to Barceloneta, the beaches and the Gothic quarter. You can stroll out to wonderful restaurants and bars in only a few minutes and only a few more to the principal shopping areas. The hotel staff were excellent from the front desk staff to... More

We recently spent four nights in this lovely hotel which is very near to Las Ramblas and the main sights and also within walking distance of the beach. We were given a very warm welcome on arrival with a glass of prosecco. Our deluxe room overlooking the harbour was spacious, well furnished and immaculately clean. There were welcome extras such... This was my second stay at this hotel and the staff made me feel very welcome. I had previously emailed the hotel a couple of times and the reception staff were very quick to reply and very helpful so i booked the room directly with them, as they seem to offer the best rates. My flight to Barcelona was delayed... More

I love this hotel! Normally I book with well known hotels but this time I fancied something different and I am so glad we stayed here during our holiday! We had a bit of a hiccup when we arrived to Barcelona as we missed our connecting flight but the manager was lovely about it and made sure we were accommodated... More

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
