We stayed here during our stay in Barcelona. I booked it based on the reviews on trip advisor. The hotel was a delight to stay at after our stay in hostels (aka match boxes) in the previous cities. The rooms are quite spacious with most up-to-date amenities. The restroom/bathroom was quite large and probably the largest in all the cities... More

Charming hotel, staff helpful, great breakfasts, loved the roof top restaurant, good food at good prices. Bed was very comfortable, bathroom nice size. We were on the street but the view outweighed any noise we heard, also there is a heavy duty sliding glass door that cuts noise. Nice location for a night cap..

We had a wonderful stay at your hotel last weekend. The room was extremely clean and very spacious and the bed was almost too comfortable. The rooftop terrace is such a great addition as it was perfect to laze by the pool and enjoy a cocktail or two after wandering the streets of your beautiful city. The breakfast was great... More

My husband and I stayed here and we really enjoyed it. If nothing else, the location is worth it since you can walk pretty much anywhere you want to go in the city. The Gothic Quarter and El Born will make you not want to leave the area since it has so much character. This hotel was nice and had... More

I was spending a couple of days in Barcelona to celebrate a friend's birthday. I'm very familiar with the city and would normally have stayed in Born or near the Plaza Catalunya, but my friend was staying at the Ritz Carlton so I wanted to be in good proximity to him. Wow was I more then pleasantly surprised. I was... More

For our first trip to Barcelona, we could not have made a better choice in terms of places to stay! Lovely hotel, great location. The hotel overlooks Port Vell, and is a moment's walk from Las Rambla, the water front shops, located in the Gothic quarter. The people at the front desk are very helpful in selecting tours, etc. Breakfast... More

We stayed 3 nights in 2 adjoining rooms. This feature is great when you have a larger family group. Everyone got their private space but we still felt together. The location near the waterfront and the gothic quarter was amazing and the rooftop bar has a beautiful view. We will stay here when we return to Barcelona. Our only comment... More

We visited 26th - 29th June. The room was nice, the hotel staff were good. The breakfast buffet was extensive - plenty of choice and good quality. However, it is the much advertised roof terrace which causes me to knock off a star. The price this hotel commands is in part because of its location and the fact that it... More

The hotel was very nice, the room was spacious, the bath clean and also spacious, the beds were comfortable. The hotel is located within walking distance from the harbour, beaches, Barri Gotic and the Ramblas, so it is located quite ideally for a trip to Barcelona. The hotel features a nice roof top terrace with a great view, but a... More

We enjoyed 2 nights at this lovely hotel. Everthing was perfekt for our family of 5. Our kids and us loved it! The reception is gold, the breakfast is perfect and the staff is lovely! There is only one negative thing to say and that is that parking infront of the hotel is imposible. Many parking opertuenties near by 😄

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
