A little well known hotel in Barcelona! This is what I thought the first time I saw it . But I was wrong. It 's not little at all. It' s well known for sure but the front/facade was not as inviting as it should be. The inside was impressive. The staff.@ the reception area were very nice, friendly and... More

The Hotel was OK, we got transfered from a room facing the noicy street to a quiter room without problems. However to start with the staff charged us too little when we checked in and they told us the breakfast was included in price. However when we checked out, we suddenly had to pay for the breakfast buffet, which was... More

Extremely well located with very helpful staff, unfortunately the breakfast selection is nothing short of diabolical... and the pool is very tiny and consequently overcrowded. We have no regrets coming there as we found the room very clean, comfortable and loved the location. We were out a lot and it was perfect.

We booked online using miles and were very satisfied. The hotel is very central, next to the Gothic district. t has a pool in the back and a decent breakfast. Choose a room in the back, it is extremely quiet.

Very central (almost opposite the beautiful Music Hall - Palau de la Música Catalana)for walking or Metro-ing and the staff were always helpful. The room was big and clean with plenty of wardrobe space (odd that we had to pay 5 Euros for the safety deposit box though). The swimming pool is more of a plunge pool size, but it... More

This hotel is in a great position, located close to Catalunya Square, or an easy walk to La Rambla and the old city streets. The hotel is well cared for, modern looking and the staff are very helpful and efficient, but they never seem to give service with a smile, which is their biggest let down. Our room was very... Apart from the HCC's proximity to the centre, there's not much else going for it. The decor throughout is dated and staff are lacking in enthusiasm and a sense of urgency. Breakfast is dramatically overpriced at €18 and the service from waiting staff is incredibly poor. The pool, although small, is well maintained with plentiful loungers and chairs.

It's very nicely located. Rooms feature a decent size, and we were wellcomed with a chilled bottle of cava, which felt great. Amenities provided in the room are well over the expected in quantity, including slippers and bathrobe. Their quality is average. On the other side, the looks of the furniture and the room in general are underwhelming, and overall... More

If you are looking for a place close to lots of sites, this is good. The elevators are tiny and a tad on the scary side. The room was ok, nothing special. The beds were not comfortable. The air conditioner didn't work well. Breakfast was not great, the Hilton we stayed at before this hotel, had a wonderful breakfast, so... More

We spent one night at this hotel prior to joining a cruise. The hotel is located close to where the Aerobus arrives at Placa de Catalunya, and it's easy to walk to La Ramblas, the cathedral etc. The staff were efficient enough but not overly welcoming. However all requests were attended to quickly, such as request for extra pillows. The... More

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
