5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We recently stayed here for two nights before our cruise. It was wonderful! The location is perfect with just a few minutes walk to everything. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was quite delicious with a wide variety of foods to choose from. They will even take special requests for... More

Good quality hotel with good pricing. Has a pool, but because it is in the back, you don't get the full shade as the buildings get the way in the sun - but still nice to have. The breakfast room is large and can get busy. A much older crowd here as its more traditional and in a less trendy... More

The hotel is in a perfect location to access all modes of transport from Placa del Cataluyna. It is very clean with towels changed daily. We had a room at the end of the corridor at the back of the hotel overlooking the small pool and it was very quiet. We were grateful for the air conditioning as the weather... More

Despite my partner's reservations of staying in a 3* hotel, we had a great time at the Montblanc. The location was absolutely superb, with a Metro station just outside the door, and a short walk to the main train station for access to the airport. Rooms were spacious and clean, with ample facilities. Breakfast was plentiful, although service for the... More

Location wise - this hotel is as central as you can get. 5 mins walk to Ramblas, 15mins walk to the wharf and less than a minute's walk to the metro station. The room whilst not huge, is a good size leaving ample room to move around. The beds are amazingly comfortable so a good nights sleep is easily attainable.... More

We stayed in the MontBlanc for 3 days before our cruise. The staff is helpful and friendly and the rooms are clean and well appointed. The continental breakfast was included in our room charge. If you are a runner/Jogger, there is a nice park about 3 blocks from the hotel.

The bell service did not exist and we had luggage, the Hop just watched us struggle ( 11 Day Trans Atlantic Cruise ) with luggage in Elevators that were typical for Old Towns but the service was far from old style! The room attendant evidently was told not to give fresh Drinking glasses Daily or every other day for that... More

It ticked all the right boxes, and apart from Breakfast and a drink in the Bar before bed we were not there much. I did think that the Reception Staff were not very friendly and a bit aloof. All the reviews I had read before arriving said friendly and helpful, personally even a smile would have helped.

This is a very nice hotel located just on the edge of the Ramblas district. Lots of shops, restaurants, cafes and attractions in vicinity. Good clean rooms, comfortable beds, nice pool. Didn't try the breakfast but the dining room looked very pleasant. Our ground-floor room had a balcony which was useful; we were overlooked but only a transparent mosquito-style curtain... More

Having been in Barcelona before I had a slightly better idea of areas. This hotel was very central, there were plenty of shops, bars and restaurants nearby and only a 5 minute walk from las ramblas. The hotel was clean, room fine size & small pool area nice to relax by. We had a late flight home & were able... More

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
