We arrived at this hotel in the heart of Barcelona and were met by a number of surely staff in the reception. There was no smile to be had and there was not even an attempt to be friendly. We quite simply did not feel welcome at all. This did not change during our four days stay. The room was... More

We visited Barcelona for 3 days; and being flaneurs we selected a hotel in the central city. The Montblanc probed to be a modern, convenient hotel and a good central point for walking to many attractions.

Location is everything and this hotel's location is great. Right in the center of it all but just far enough away to be peaceful. Staff was great. Very friendly. Contacted the hotel for an early checking prior to arrival and the gave it to us.

Good, clean hotel, spacious room, perfect location for sightseeing. We stayed 2 nights, walked a lot and used the metro, for which a station is just at the end of the road. The Breakfast was good, you have to order cooked food. The room would benefit from a few more electric sockets to charge things. Didn't use the pool, so... More

My family spent 4 nights here in Dec'14. Room: The rooms are pretty much okay, especially for a 3-stars hotel. The furniture was in a good condition. If there is a choice, don’t take the room with the windows on the street, as it’s really noisy during the night. Location: This is a key point of this hotel: Placa Catalunya... More

This hotel was booked for us through Norwegian Cruise Line after our 12-Day Mediterranean cruise. When we arrived at approx. 10:30AM we had a quick check-in which was impressive since there were about 16 other groups checking in from the cruise at the same time. The hotel is very clean and modern looking. The rooms were nicely sized with plenty... More

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
