I just came back from K+K Hotel Picasso in Barcelona... It's been wonderful! Beautiful hotel, great staff (the front desk team is so friendly) and excellent location. We kept walking around the streets all day and night long... Gorgeous! How can you be unhappy with so much beauty and a big yellow sun above your head?! I recommend, this City,... More

I don't think there is enough positive words in the English language to say about this hotel. We were blown away in every manner possible. We were greeted by a very friendly and helpful member of staff who promptly checked us in and also showed us the major sights and attractions along with good eateries in the area. Our room... More

Little slow in getting this posted but wanted to say how amazing a find this hotel was. Influenced by other reviews on Tripadvisor we booked two rooms here and we were not disappointed. Small but fantastic rooftop pool with food service available, lovely clean room with stunning view over the park. Two minutes to Gothic Quarter and all it's amazing... More

First, I cannot say enough (great things) about the staff. Bruno was so warm and so helpful throughout our stay. He truly made us feel welcomed in Barcelona from day one. We also got to know Dania who was also a pleasure to talk to. What did we love? The location was great, as it was near a park and... More

Exceeded expectations - extremely helpful, efficient and friendly staff made the first impression. The room met all requirements, not large but well planned, clean with a very comfortable bed, great shower. A lovely buffet breakfast, not extensive but more than sufficient and good quality. And then there is the location, location, location - just perfect, for us!

We chose this hotel for it's location, in El Born, close to Barri Gothic and Barceloneta beach. It was an excellent choice. Rooms are comfortable fitted with an very very good bed. Nice bathroom with an italian shower. No noise from the inside, very low noise from the outside (our room was on Passeig de Picasso). We didn't use the... More

Room comfortable if a little small, breakfasts very good, location superb - near to beautiful shops, interesting restaurants and lively bars and many 'tourist' spots (if you like that kind of thing) within easy walking distance. But what really sets the hotel apart is the service. Despite being booked out during what must be one of their busiest periods, the... More

This was our second stay at the hotel and it was pleasing to find that it is maintaining its high standards. The bedroom was very well fitted out and the bed extremely comfy. Despite our room being next to the main road, the double glazing was very effective in keeping out the noise. The breakfast is excellent apart from being... More

The hotel is in a quite area, with most restaurants and shops appearing within a few minutes walk. Most other attractions take 10-25 minutes to get too. Our room was quite large and overlooked the park over the road. The soaps smelled really nice and the bathroom was large with a very big shower. Most staff were helpful and pleasant... More

Hotel is overall very nice. The price is a bit high for what you get. Rooms are very small and a bit dusty (because of the carpet and the curtains) but has a big bathroom. Breakfast was good and varied. Location is a 25 minute walk from the main attractions center - 'La Rambla' street. but in my opinion the... More

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
