Great location , right next to the Old Town /Gothic quarter Positives: Friendly and efficient staff , excellent breakfast, modern and well maintained. Negatives: WIFI - despite being free - about as slow as it gets Will be great in the summer as the rooftop pool and patio area also looks well appointed and a nice place to relax.

This was a perfect place for us to stay. A couple of minutes walk from the station, we had taken the train from Barcelona airport. The hotel is in the Born district which is a a maze of old, narrow streets full of little independent shops, bars and restaurants. You can wander easily as far as Las Ramblas. The Picasso... More

The staff are very friendly and they were helpful during our stay also the breakfast was especially nice with a range of hot and cold food served each day. The location is ideal and many of the main attractions are in walking distance. Would recommended the park across the road and la boqueria market which we loved! Overall brilliant hotel

Me and my boyfriend went to the K+k hotel Picasso for 3 nights for his 21st birthday. I told the hotel before coming that it was his birthday and they gave us a complimentary upgrade to an executive room which was lovely! On arrival Alex on reception was extremely helpful, he gave us a map and showed us the best... More

I have been coming to Barcelona for 15+ years. Have stayed in many hotels from 2* to 5*. This is the best. Great location. Excellent WiFi and technical facilities in the room that allowed me to work as if I was in my office. Save me time to focus on my family and the delights of the El Born area.... More

I am for ever arguing with friends of mine about what makes a great hotel, the staff, or the facilities. No arguments here, both of them are first class. We were checked in by Alex, really professional, very friendly, exactly the type of person you want front of house. During the next four days we also met Mario and Pavel,... More

My wife and I decided to book a short weekend to Barcelona- RyanAir flight was direct from Venice Treviso, so the trip got off to a nice easy beginning. We booked the K+K Picasso Hotel based on the positive reviews on TripAdvisor, and were not disappointed for doing so. The staff at the front desk were simply awesome- Mario and... More

This hotel is in a great position for simply exploring Barcelona - seconds away from the Gothic quarter and its bars and restaurants the location is perfect and as we drove into Barcelona good because it offers secure (paid) parking. The room was spotlessly clean and well furnished with a comfortable bed and a good bathroom (shower only). The WIFI... More

I had stayed at a K + K in Munich, Germany and had high hopes for this chain in Barcelona. It did not disappoint! We had to check-in very late and upon entering the lobby, the front desk already knew our names (we must have been the last to check in but it still gave us a chuckle and an... More

We stayed at the Picasso Hotel 7 nights in January, 2016. The hotel was a good location in El Born across from the huge City Park. We felt safe. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a full meal and very good with beautiful presentation. Our room was clean, efficient and had all the amenities we needed.... More

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
