Great location (sight-seeing, shops, bars, pharmacies, city-tour bus stop, big Citadel park - at a walking distance) Comfy rooms (slippers, robes, coffe-machines in every room) Breakfasts included that are worth having (hot dishes, starters, fruit, deserts) Helpfull muti-lingual staff (heard them speaking english, french, russian. Consulted us on all the locations, stores, restaurants. Offered the help on buying the sight-seeing... More

Typical boutique hotel, ie very small rooms and no evening dining (not when we were there), but it is very central and staff were first class; would definitely recommend as a base of operations for exploring the city, which is quite magnificent.

My wife and I travelled to Barcelona to celebrate her 40th birthday and I chose the H10 Montcada mainly because of its location. On arrival we were greeted by absolutely wonderful people! The hotel itself is lovely, very high quality and located on the edge of the Barri Gothic and the Born it could not be in a more perfect... More

A brilliant base for a city break in Barcelona. The welcome on arrival was enhanced by a complimentary glass of sparkling wine! The bedroom was rather small but was well equipped and very clean. The hotel provide an excellent breakfast - high quality food and plenty of it! The roof top bar was an excellent place to relax with a... More

Visited in March 2015 with my partner. Pleasant arrival with very welcoming staff. Rooms were spotless and cleaned daily to a very high standard. Breakfast was excellent and had a selection for everyone, regardless of vegetarian or not. Barman was very pleasant and prices cheap. The hotel is in a perfect location. Would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone!!... More

Absolutely loved this hotel in Barcelona on a family holiday. Shared a twin room with my sister, not a great deal of moving around space but comfy bed, lovely bathroom and amenities such as coffee maker, and TV, most impressed that I could watch the channel Pick out of all the English channels! Nice choice at breakfast but in the... More

The hotel is directly opposite Jaume station, so easy to find. A welcome cool drink on arrival, and efficient check in service. We had Room 505 - you could say small but perfectly formed! Window to the side street - yes, we could hear the city hustle and bustle, but it didn't keep us awake. Beautiful tiled shower room, with... More

Perfect location for a weekend in Barcelona. Reception staff were brilliant. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Lovely hot shower, towels, bathrobes and slippers. The coffee machine was great. My only negative comment is that we were on the 4th floor and found the noise from outside disturbed our sleep.

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
