Booked this hotel for a 4 night stay this last week with a friend for a holiday escape to Barcelona. The hotel was easy to find in a central location and we were lucky to be given a room on the top floor - 808. The room was not the largest in the world but my goodness it had everything... More

We stayed at the H10 Montcada in May 2014 for a couple of nights. The location of this hotel was great as our main aim while in Barcelona was to see the sights. The staff were helpful and the hotel was clean. The first room we were allocated was a bit of a disaster, it was at the back of... More

This hotel was fantastic. I booked the deluxe double and it was ideal, great size, well decorated and very clean. The inclusion of the espresso maker was great and was used daily! The bathrooms were very clean and well equipped, however the bath was tiny! Me being 6"1 struggled to even sit down, but this wasn't a huge issue. Big... More

Ok. So UEFA. for the second time in a year draw Man City to play Barcelona at the Nou Camp. Having been there last year I vowed not to go again to the stadium but would go to Barcelona. Needed a nice hotel and boy did we drop lucky. I paid for a flight and 2 nights stay for £280... More

On arrival we discovered the reception area was undergoing a major overhaul which meant that one of the lifts would only go to level 1 and you had to use the emergency exit stair route to the lobby. The room which we checked into was a huge disappointment having upgraded to a larger room we were then told upgrades are... More

The place has probably seen better days but the staff is very attentive and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and immaculately clean. If you want to experience the 'old' Barcelona, you couldn't ask for a better location.

Having just arrived home from the hotel i can give it the thumbs up, it was excellent. Although I admit there was work being undertaken in the reception it did not affect our time there with minimal disruption. What I will say is that the staff were very helpful and professional especially William on the front desk nothing was to... More

We recently stayed the the Montcada for a long weekend. The hotel was excellent. Lovely and clean (i am very fussy so trust me on this one)....the roof terrace really gives it the wow factor with amazing city views and the bonus Hot Tub. The staff were all friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome even though they... More

The things I liked about this hotel-- Friendly and helpful staff Small treats like glass of sparkling wine at check in which makes big difference after long hours of travel, of course an espresso machine at room with capsules free of chrage. Central location across the street from the Gothic square and a Metro station, Ramblas is at walking distance... More

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
