My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon in May and we loved every minute of it! Our room had a great view on the top floor, the room was clean and bright and the bed was really comfortable! There is a great patio bar on the roof which was great to visit after a long day of sightseeing.... More

From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted with a glass of sparkling wine as we checked in. I was sold!. The front desk clerks were not only welcoming and warm but had huge smiles on their faces and extremely friendly. We went up to our room which was great, air conditioned and very neat with 2... We have recently returned from a 4 night stay at the Montcada Hotel in Barcelona. I could not fault our stay, the room was spotless, towels changed daily and the rooftop terrace was great. We enjoyed the added bonus of the jacuzzi. We had a worry from reading reviews that the rooms were going to be a little bit on... More

I stopped here for 3 nights with my other half for a Birthday treat. As the other reviews say, the hotel is indeed in a great location, easy to get too, and right in the heart of the City, close to all the main attractions. However, it is also situated on one of the busiest main roads too....We stopped on... More

This hotel was easy to find; we'd booked transfers with Jet2 but were dropped several streets away, surprisingly but found it fairly easily. It turned out to be a great location, near to the bustling heart of the city, the Cathedral, Gothic quarter, not far from Las Ramblas and next to the amazing winding streets filled with pastry cafes, fresh... We spent two nights here before our Cruise departure. It was a fantastic location for walking the old quarter of Barcelona, Las Ramblas, and the waterfront. Great restaurants were just blocks away. Hotel staff was very courteous. Rooms were a little tight, but that was to be expected. Beds were comfy and room was nice and quiet. Roof-top bar had... More

Just returned from a 3 night stay at H10 Montcada which I booked for my boyfriends 21st. We received sparkling wine upon checking in and also a bottle of champagne delivered to our hotel door a few hours later with a card saying happy birthday to my partner from all the staff. The rooms were very lovely and very clean,... More

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
