Brilliant hotel, fabulous central location, very friendly staff. Views from the terrace amazing, breakfast very good, attention to detail spot on!!! Great surprise - Cava and birthday cake left in room with the compliments of the hotel.

Lovely hotel, friendly staff and ideal location. The hotel was spotless, well decorated and rooms small but lovely. Although we were unfortunate with the weather we managed one night on the sunset terrace bar. This was a real bonus with wonderful views. I would highly recommend this hotel and will be back. I booked it based on its great reviews and it... More

My wife and I spent four nights at this well located, comfortable hotel. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and the hotel is within walking distance of many important tourist sights. The rooftop bar is lovely and the rooms, while small are very comfortable. The free wifi worked very well and the single-serve coffee maker was a plus.

This hotel is very conveniently situated on Via Laietana, handy for all sorts of attractions. It is spotlessly clean and decorated to a very high standard. The staff are all very friendly and appear to speak a variety of languages therefore are very able to communicate with all nationalities. The choice for breakfast was phenomenal, catering for every taste -... More

This hotel is ideally located for a short stay in Barcelona, being no more than 10 to 15 mins walk from La Rambal or the water front & close to where you can pick up the tourist bus. The hotel is well appointed & deserves it's 4 star rating, although the bedrooms are a little small, but for a few... More

This hotel has a fantastic location, but due to this you make some sacrifices - size of the rooms and noise. The rooms as well appointed, modern, clean and comfortable (although pillows could have done with being replaced), but they are very small. The noise from the street outside and the rumble from the metro below does die down later... More

This hotel has a fantastic location - it is perfect for exploring Barcelona - El Born, La Rambla, beaches, restaurants, nightlife - all in walking distance. However this is also the biggest downfall of the hotel - it's so noisy! No sound proofing of the windows - in fact you may as well have them open as it wouldn't make... More

First let me say that everyone at the hotel did everything they could to make our visit wonderful. The hotel is well equipped, mini gym, terrace and lounge bars, jacuzzi. Etc. The rooms are compact but clean and comfortable. On the down side, this is a single glazed building in the heart of the city. By night three Barcelona had... More

The H10 Montcada Hotel is a great hotel to stay in. It is located within walking distance of many tourist attractions as well as the entrance to the subway and the hop-on hop-off tourist bus. There are a number of small supermarkets within a few minutes walk - breakfast at the hotel is 17 euros per person so it is... More

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
