Overall I have mixed feelings about this place. The owner was a guy who is as Spanish as they get, and talked in some mix of English and Spanish. He's supposed to be at the reception for most of the day but he rarely is. We once waited over 45 mins (while we even told him we'd be there), before... More

We paid 30€/person for 4 nights in one of Europes most famous cities. Price-performance-ratio is exellent. The Hostel is located close to Place Catalunya, so very central in the heart of Barcelona. Furthermore the staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms look cheap, are more or less clean, Bathrooms are ok, too. For this price you can not expect more.... More

I was remembering the good moments in Barcelona and decided to write the review recommending this hostel. The owner and staff are very helpful people and worried about attending well to people. I felled in house really and the neighbourhood is good for going around being near almost everything. Hope to be there soon. Thanks.

It's cheap, the location is just perfect, the staff is really nice, friendly and helpful, there is free wifi and lockers. The room was very spacious, there was quite a lot of noise from the streets but I guess you can't expect anything else given the fact that you are in the centre of Barcelona! The showers and toillets were... More

It was so good time in Backaker's House in Barcelona. Me and my 7 friends had good stay in this calm and nice place. Location is perfect. So close to Barcelonetta Beach! So close to the centre of city. Service and reservetion process were perfect. Cheers!

I stayed here for 1 night in a shared room on the 2nd floor. Of course, for the price I paid (12,72 €), no luxury was expected. Although I asked for a girls-room only, my room was shared with boys (in fact, I was the only lady in there, for my surprise). Nobody gave me any explanation about that. The... More

The hostel is quite hard to find as the name is displayed in very small font size above its doors. The receptionists are nice. The hostel rooms is spacious but not very clean. The toilet is okay but the bathrooms are absolutely horrible as some of them clogs up including the sinks.

I had a really nice stay here. Lucia is very nice and helpful and the 4 bed dorm on the third floor (on the other side than the street) is quiet so I had some good sleep here. Also in general I found it a quiet place. Only downside was that the owner locked the doors to the balcony just... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
