My friend and I enjoyed staying at this hotel. I was a bit concerned about what we would find after reading fellow traveller reviews. I can honestly say we didn't have a single complaint. The hotel was very easy to find, near the Maria Cristina Metro stop. The room was lovely and clean. The staff were very helpful. The food... more

I stayed at the Princesa Sofia for a conference. I had read the reviews here and I was a little apprehensive, but the hotel wasn't too bad. My individual room wasn't big, but it was comfortable enough. It had a flat screen TV, but located on the desk (which was still large enough to use). The bathroom was fine, though... more

Ok, so im 25 and not your regular business traveller. Stayed here when i was working at the tennis tournament up the road. The hotel is pretty darn nice, the breakfast out of this world, it was merely the cost of all the extra stuff that left a sour taste. On arrival i was knackered so ordered room service, some... more

Has a great service and the lobby was more than spacious. The rooms were very cozy and confortable. The only problem was at the check out cause we had many people at the same time and nobody offer and alternative receptionist- But the overall experience was perfect. more

We have stayed in this hotel for the past four years because of its location and the room size. The hotel has not been rehabilitated in years--stains on the carpet, damage to the furniture, gouges in the bathroom door, repairs to the bathroom marble--you get the picture. It does have double pane windows, but the heating/air conditioning system has a... more

We purchased a Club package, slightly more expensive than standard rooms but worth every penny. Staff were very helpful and the facilities were excellent. Would gladly return again to hotel. 100yards to metro line L3 which dropped us in the middle of Barcelona within minutes. more

I stayed here for a conference and felt that the hotel was tired and shabby. The service was very slow, the staff seemed uninterested in customer service. I would not recommend it to friends or colleagues. On my last morning I had breakfast in my room and had to send the tea cup back as it was filthy. The mini... more

The only positive about this hotel is the gym with relatively new equipment, and the clean, brightly lit common areas. The rooms are a different story. No water pressure ,or hot water, to speak of, a hole in the bathroom ceiling, dirty walls, dingy accomodations and beds that feel like concrete slabs. The housekeeping staff also decided to throw away... more

The lobby and exterior of this hotel were great. The staff was generally helpful, although we did have issues with service when requesting things from our room. We ordered glasses and towels and had to call again because not one brought anything. We also had issues with their internet, but they took the charges off of our bill, so I... more

We arrived to the hotel by Taxi from the airport and were charged 50 Euro!! Be careful of this as it should only cost around 20 Euro. Hotel staff were pleasant and helpful. Rooms were clean however not as "Fancy" as we were expecting them to be for a 5* Hotel. We were charged 12 Euro per day each everytime... more
