The Hotel location is good for the Ramblas and for getting to all the key sights as it is close to an Underground station and easy walking to the old Cathedral area. The hotel has a very good location, close to the old city centre en the Ramblas. It is situated in a quiet street. Everything is clean and well maintained. Hotel Principal was recommended to me. I was not let down, great location, friendly/helpful staff, great having a kettle in the room, tea coffee and hot chocolate replaced every day. We didn't book bed and breakfast as the hotel is less than a 5 min walk to the famous Barcelona food market La Boqueria, we ate there each morning.

Typical city hotel. Has a great location with good facilities. Just what's required for a short city break. The buffet breakfast is more than adequate and will set you up for the day. Make sure your break to Barcelona includes a Sunday as Las Ramblas is buzzing with a vibrant market.
