We booked a superior room which had two balconies and was positioned at the front of the hotel. The room was lovely, the bathroom spotless and the air conditioning was very effective. We arrived earlier than the check in time, however, our room was ready so we were able to check in and unpack. We had booked the breakfast option... More

Yes the beds are slightly hard, there are no fridges in the rooms and checkout time (10:30) is too early but I cannot complain beyond this. The rooms are spacious. The WiFi and the air-conditioning are excellent. You are right next to Rambla but away from the noise so you can sleep soundly. This hotel is a brilliant, inexpensive option for Barcelona.... More

We stayed here from 7/15 to 7/20. Barcelona was our last leg of a twenty day trip. We chose HotelPrincipal because of its proximity to Las Ramblas. Great choice! The room was kind of small but then again all we did was sleep as we were running all over Barcelona. It is located on a side street which means it... More

My girlfriend and I stayed there 4 nights and the hotel looks and feels very nice. The location was also great. It was quite easy getting everything we needed to have a good stay. We were very close to all the main tourist attractions and it was very easy if we wanted to grab a bite of food or get... More

Rating this hotel 5 stars not based on a 5 star hotel, but based on exceeding expectations. Basic hotel but friendly staff, clean rooms great location and free wifi. Defiantly served our needs for a reasonable priced hotel for a couple days. Would stay there again and would recommend.

17 of us stayed here in June for 3 nights prior to our cruise. The hotel is located 2 short blocks from Las Ramblas, but is very quiet at night. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Some of the rooms were larger than others. We had a very large room for the 3 nights, but had a smaller one the night... More

Stayed here for a week with my boyfriend. The staff were very friendly and efficient with excellent English. The lobby and stairs are quite grand and make an impressive first impression. True, it doesn't live up to the grandeur of it's entryway but it is only a 3 star hotel. Our room was relatively spacious with more than enough storage... More

The hotel staff were very accommodating, spoke good English and were always happy to help. The hotel room was perfectly clean and spacious, nice bathroom too, and the air-con worked great for when the air was hot and humid. The location is ideal, it's essentially a few minutes just off La Rambla, and about half way down it, so you're... More

We liked this Hotel, the location was brilliant just what we were looking for, it was right in the centre of town, close to the metro and the main bus terminal, the rooms were basic and clean, the maids came in everyday and we always had fresh clean towels, the shower was ok but we both found that it was... We stayed here in June. The rooms have good size and bathrooms are clean and big for Europe. Our view wasn't the best but we were only there mostly at night just to sleep so we didn't care. We had to pay for the room safe, I think it was 3 euro per night. The room was always clean and... More
