I took a group of 17 of us to this hotel for a stag weekend. The hotel was very difficult to find at first but we found it eventually. There are only 15 rooms I think many of them multiple rooms. There are quads, triples and doubles. Every room has a different layout which seems a bit odd. Some are... More

The hotel was great, great location and helpful kind staff. But we walked past the front doors 3 times before we realised where it was due to the poor signage. There is a dodgy 1* hotel further down the road called "hotel Paleyo". This had big bright yellow signs and the Cityhotel Paleyo, which we stayed at only had a... More

Travelled with my 8yo son. Booked 4 nights. The first night we stayed in a room behind the reception desk. This room was extremely noisy, due to the activities even after midnight at reception, the doorbell ringing and the TV playing. Slept very bad, and would advice to not accept this room. The following 3 nights were quite okay, as... More

I booked this hotel 5 months in advance via booking.com & had a confirmed reservation. The hotel was told that I would be arriving between 23.00hrs & midnight. When I arrived at 23.20hrs, I was told they had sold my room & they were full & had no rooms available for me. The very rude man at reception refused to... More

Excellent location of the hotel: one minute away from plaza catalunya and rambla street, very close to bus and metro station. 15 minutes away from balto house. A lot of shops near the hotel. Its clean. Some negative info: no hotel parking, sometimes its loud at night on the street, the wooden windows are old and you here everything from... More

Well located place near Plaza Catalunya. Modest, but clean and well kept. We were traveling with three kids, and had the cuad room, which was very nice with air con. Asked for an extra bed, could not get it, but we managed to squeeze the youngest with us. When leaving for the airport, receptionist convinced us to get a taxi... More

Stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel is located very central and its just a few mins walk from Placa Catalunya. We took the Aerobus from the airport and got us to there in under 40 mins and it stops right outside the El Corte Ingles department store. Its very convenient. The hotel is on the first floor of a... We stayed here for the Easter weekend. Room was small and basic. However it had free air conditioning, wifi and tea and coffee making facilities. It was also very clean. I would stay here again, for the price paid it was a bargain. The staff were also friendly.

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
