I attended the World Mobile Congress where many if not most hotels raised rates by hundreds and 1,000s percent. I want to say a special Thank You to Management not following the sheer greed of their colleague hoteliers - €200 per night when others were charging up to 10/14 times that nightly rate.THANK YOU The hotel has been well reviewed... It was winter and they ran out of hot water 4 times in 3 days, you couldn't even think on taking a shower in that without getting sick. They also have a poor security system, they get your key everytime you are out and when you come back they give it back without asking who you are. The staffs were... More

I'm definitely not a snob when it comes to hotels, but this one was definitely a miss. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was a bug crawling on the walls, and immediately I knew it was going to be a long night. The bathroom isn't bad but the shower is so small you can't help but spray... More

Hotel has a tiny lobby and no facilities at all as far as we could tell and they confiscate your room key when you leave the hotel which i never like... However, staff were friendly and the room was really nice, nice street view. Bathroom was nothing special, Barcelona was great. It was good value for what we paid and... More

We picked this Hostel as part of our european road trip, and a couple of the group were students so we opted for budget over luxury. This hotel is very basic, but for just over £50 it was good. Great central location, best feature was a balcony!!

Me and my sister stayed in a twin bed-room for 5 nights. The staff was friendly most of the time and their English was ok. Sometimes they spoke Spanish to us and we answered in English. There were a few hairs in the bathroom that didn't belong to us and the only cleaning during our stay seemed to be changing... More

The food in the restaurant was lovely, however the hotel needs a lot of attention. The indoor swimming pool was very uninviting and we did not even want to use it. The outdoor swimming pool looked nice. It was expensive, however I don't know whether it was due to the time of year we visited, it was deathly quiet and... More

As the title suggests, this hotel is all about the location. Slap bang in the middle of Barri Gotic, all of the customary sights are within easy walking distance. If your expectations tally with the fact that this place is a 1 star property you will be very impressed. Yes, the place is a little dilapidated and in need of... More

It's in a great location but that's about it. Paint was peeling off the wall, the light in the bathroom was iffy, the bed was incredibly squeaky, the windows let a lot of noise in, the thing that keeps the shower head on the wall was broken and we could not have a plug for some reason. Cleaner stole our... More

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
