We booked this through a website called home away. It gave a different name for the apartment but didn't say it was a hostel. We paid 500 euros a night for a four bedroom, only six of us, one family. I didn't realize this was a budget hostel, I thought it was a luxury apt for 500 Euros. The apt... More

Hi, stayed in the 2 bedroomed apartment with my husband and teenage daughter. Apartment was very spacious with a lounge with a balcony. As bedrooms faced away from the road they were quiet. Staff were very friendly and perfect location. Would recommend Hostal Goya. The only downside were the showers which were not very powerful, but minor point.

My wife and I stood there for a night. I'm from a village 45 km away and decided to book a night in since we didn't want to drive or rely on transport. We arrived about an hour early, it was clearly a busy day with checking outs and checking ins but the staff were incredibly efficient, helpful and friendly.... More

The Hostal Goya is budget accommodation in an excellent location, just a 5 minutes walk from the airport shuttle bus stop opposite El Corte Ingles in Plaza Catalunya. It is close to Las Ramblas and the Paseo de Gracia. There a just a few steps through the front door then a lift up to 2nd floor where the Hostal is... More

The rooms are cleaned and towels are changed every day, the staff is extremely helpful and nice, they recommend where to go, how to go, what can be eaten and where. The location couldn't be better very central, closed to la rambla and placa de catalunya

Spent a week in Barcelona and stayed at this hostal. The hostal is hard to find without any sign boards, I was kind of disappointed at first when I found out the hostal is situated on the first floor of an old (perhaps50s) building. You have to climb 10 steps of stairs before access to the very old style elevator... More

We wanted to be as central as possible on a small budget and the Hostal Goya ticked both boxes! It's hard to be more central and, for Barcelona, the price was reasonable. My room was comfortable, but spare. This is definitely a budget hotel. The shower was difficult to get in and out of, and I am not large. Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
