Basically it is what you get for what you paid. the only 2 problems that we had is that the AC was on only after 6PM and that the wi-fi was poor. Hospitality was very good and the location is amazing...

1. It's a bit difficult to find ! We were grateful that we'd booked an airport shuttle direct to the hotel. There's only a small sign on the ground-floor door: ring the ball so that it opens, then it's up the stairs or use the (quite small) lift 2. Silvia on reception was delightfully helpful, and speaks good English (but... More

The reception and certain room are on the 2nd floor of an old building, more rooms are on an adjacent building. Probably those are better, especially if you stay in one of the rooms facing the garden or the avenue. The location is oustanding; less than 150 meters away fom a major train station, thanks to which you can take... More

Stayed at the hostel during the busy MWC week in March 2015. The hostal has a very central location just 10 minutes north of las Ramblas. Rooms are clean and average size with bathroom. Sheets and towels are provided for. Good location in the building. Staff is very helpful and friendly. A very good budget alternative in central Barcelona and... More

I paid outrageous prices to stay here during a conference. One positive is that it is very clean and the bed was comfortable (but not the hard pillows). I was in the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in. The towels were like sandpaper. There was free wifi and the location is very accessible restaurants, Las Ramblas and other shopping.

The Hostal Ciudad Condal, in Barcelona, Spain leaves an awful lot to be desired. The only thing going for it is it's fairly clean. However, it's very noisy and tiny, and they run the business in a very confusing manner. They try to keep your passport as you check in, then they are very reluctant to write a receipt for... More

Hostel Ciudad Condal is a very good place to stay. It is in walking distance to many attractions, to public transportation and is also reasonably priced. The hotel is located on Mallorca Street, a very loud and busy street. The room we stayed in was modern, very clean and located in the back overlooking the courtyard, so it was very... More

i stayed here 3rd Jan until 8th Jan. perfect location it is directly across from Casa Milà, (better known as La Pedrera) and just a 2 minute walk from Antoni Gaudi Casa Batlló (famous "skull and bones" balconies). its also five minutes from the bus stop to the airport. the only thing worth noting is the people who own it... A good tapas place on the Rambla de Catalunya. Friendly service, great food, good sangria, good location. All the right ingredients for a good time in this wonderful city. Recommended by the locals, approved by the tourists! Just be patient as you may have to wait for some time to get a table... but it's worth it!

Idially situated, polite staff, small room but clean, it does the trick if you're on a budget, since accomodation is so expensive in Barcelona. There is an elevator and the area is very safe. i walked back to the hotel from a nearby bar on my own at 2:30 am and there was no problem. ALso surptisingly quiet (though my... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
