Stayed here for a quiet and simple anniversary. Conveniently located in the Gothic Quarter, a few minutes walk from La Ramblas and the Liceu Metro station. Rooms are clean, functional and the check-out station is manned all day by helpful staff. Quaint elevator that takes you to the 2nd floor for check-in. And a very interesting walkway from elevator to... More

Cheap for Barcelona and located in the middle of the rather enchanting old Barri Gotic, this hotel offers convenient no frills accommodation in a great location. If you just want a bed and a place to stay it'll do you fine. Our shower was rather lousy and cold and the rooms were quite noisy at night; but you get what... More

This is really a great place to stay, close to Las Ramblas, Liceu Metro, La Boqueria, Plaça del Pi, La Seu Cathedral and many more "must see" sights in the Gothic quarter. Across the street is El Gran Cafe where you can stop for a night-cap before going off to bed!

The hostel rooms are quite basic, and not very large, but what you would expect from a budget hotel. The bathroom facilities are quite clean, and in good working order. A major plus for the hostel is that it is in a very good location, and a short distance from a metro station. The area is well-served by restaurants, take-away... More

Superb location, in the heart of the Gothic quarter. Rooms clean and basic, good bathroom. Had a fan in room. Also double glazed windows that cut out Street noise late a night. Staff always friendly on 24 hr manned reception. Was not clear on arrival where reception was as on 2nd floor needs a sign at entrance..Found area very safe.

We stayed for 6 nights at the end of September 2015. We shared a triple room, on the first floor of the hostal. Fantastic bargain and so close to La Rambla, a short walk to the beach and some great bars and restaurants nearby in the Placa Reial. Great value for money, room was pretty clean and basic, but comfortable... More

Hostel is located in very nice place, only 20 min walking from a beach, 7 min till nearest metro station, 5 min walking from Las Ramblas. Room was clean, bathroom was cleaned everyday. Room was very warm, personal very welcome. Only one minus - window was going to the street and it was very loud in evenings.

I stayed here with friends the first week of September. We were very pleased with the location of the hostel. It is located in the gothic quarter in the city. The building was safe and there was a 24 hour receptionist which was comforting. The room was small enough but we weren't really there during the day so it suited... More

I have been in Barcelona many times and stayed in different hotels, this time I chose Levante Hostel as it was the cheapest one. I was expect low standard one but I really surprised it was very clean and very nice hostel. The staff was very helpful; they found me a room with air condition after I stayed the 1st... More

Situated at the heart of Barri Gotic, so it is a short walk from Rambla, Mirador de Colom, Placa Catalunya or the way to Barceloneta beach. Wifi is working, towels are changed daily, staff is friendly and helpful. There is no AC, so it may be hot during the nights. Radiator is procided though, so it can provide relief if... More

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
