The floor was so dirty that I didn't walk on it without shoes on. The shower head was manual but had no stand, so it just dangled. Had to turn water off/on to avoid spraying everywhere. The towels were stained and there were bugs in my room. After I checked out, I wanted a refund for the following night I... More

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 3 nights and we thought it was well worth the money! Amazing location friendly helpful receptionist that let us print documents at no cost. The room was cleaned daily and the communal toilet was always so clean. We had a shower in the room that was always warm and powerful bed was comfy... More

My two friends and myself stayed at that "hostal" 3 nights. Aside from the fact, manager told us, the policy is to charge for the whole stay right at the time of arrival, he was not able to calculate the total, kept mixing up the bills for different rooms and could not write a receipt for the right room and... We have had 4 nights staying there, good location and access to the main square. The room was clear with cleaning service every afternoon, the great point was the stuff, they were so friendly spcially the guy named Jot he was so friendly and kind. Totally recommend if your main concern are the cost and the location.

Me and my wife chose to stay here at the last minute purely on price and location.... I have stayed in many hostels on my travels and this is probably the cleanest and friendliest one yet! All you see is the lovely folk here cleaning constantly always offering tea and coffee we were also a little chilly and they brought... More

This is the worst hotel that I visited in my whole life. Staff is extremely rude. After we had some complaints about cleanness of the room and after we asked for an additional hotel, they told us that we have many complaints and that it would be the best if we just go and look for some other hotel. I... More

The hotel is a reasonable price/quality ratio. Very clean even if a bit noisy. The staff are kind. But, I had a bad news the day after I left the hotel. The Booking.com website through which I made the reservation sent me an e-mail saying that the hotel informed them that I didn't show up on the day of the planned... More

I picked this hotel based on location and price. First of all, it is not a "hostel," but more like a 2-star hotel. It is not easy to find. It is next to an ATM machine with a sign on the wall. I arrived there at 8 am, but the reception is not open until 9AM and would not let... More

Staff asked for €40 per night just to leave 2 bikes in the courtyard, where they were not obstructing anything or causing any inconvenience. When I managed to negotiate this down to €30 they asked what time I was leaving the next day as they wanted me to remove the bikes early, even after paying extra. The walls were so... More

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
