very centrally located so I could walk to all main attraction. very friendly family who own the place, were helping me with a lot of advice. As it is very central, it is easy to find good coffee places and restaurants around. wash rooms/toilets are shared, but there is enough of them. place is very clean.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The room was comfortable and nice but due to the fact that is in the centre it has many noise outside. The hotel is very expensive for 2 nights i spent 130 euros. Also it doesnt have breakfast. In conclusion the only reason to stay there is the fact that is very central at Las Ramblas... The receptionists are very kind people, especially the receptionist Eugenio. When we arrived, he made us feel very welcome by taking his time (45 minutes !) to tell us all about the city, which places to visit, how to get there, and all different kinds of 'survival tips' (beware of pickpockets, don't just randomly put your phone on the table... No elevator, difficulty to move your luggage if your room is on the 2nd, 3rd floor etc. Very small rooms. It was clean though. And liceu metro station was just outside. The receptionists were kind and helpful and they spoke english.

This is the worst hotel I have ever been, seen and and will see! Out of emergency we had to stay here for 2 nights, after searching all day for a hotel in Barcelona. I can't explain how horrible this was. Not clean, tiny rooms and the bed was so so so horrible, that we actually didn't want to sleep... More

A friend and I chose to move over to this hostel after having a terrible experience at a another one down the road... we literally walked in during peak July season and were offered a double room that day with private bathroom and balcony facing the dragon on Las Ramblas. It was certainly less cramped than the previous hostel down... More

a budget hostel, the service from the front desk was very good. for a little extra go for a room with a private bathroom, location superb. the safe in the room is a hidden cost and not advertised on any of the webb sites where the hostel paris is advertised.

This was the first stop we had during a 3 weeks trip in Europe, and it all started badly. Booked a triple bedroom for 3 nights in advance, since Barcelona can be quite busy in August. Since we were 3 guys, we made sure that the triple bedroom was actually a triple bed room, not only a room that can... More

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
