A good and clean hostal. Walking distance to everywhere. Some noise at night from the street, but it didnt seem to matter as we did sleep well. The rooms were cleaned every day. A fridge would have been a great extra! Nice bars and restaurants close by. Would stay here again :)

The room was very nice - very clean, bed is awesome. Location is very nice - all bars and restaurants on the same street (it was necessary because there was no breakfast). If you want to stay in Barcelona to see the city (not sitting in the hotel) - it's the perfect place to choose.

Although called a hostal, this is not your typical hostel. This accommodating is definitely more like a hotel than a hostel. I was in the family room. It was of good size. The bathroom door didn't properly lock which would've been nice. The shower was nice and didn't run out of water. Water pressure was good. Cleanliness for the entire... More

We arrived to Barcelona late evening, and it turned out already at the hostel that we:ve booked it for the wrong dates!!We were facing a perspective of searching for a hotel at night after a long trip, so we really appreciated it when the hotel staff, despite his English was a bit limited, found for us another room. We ended... More

We stayed in a four person room which was tight quarters for four, but had everything you needed. Somewhat noisy, we used a fan to mask noise. There was pounding upstairs for two nights-remodeling? Some beds were not so firm. Staff was nice. We rented the kitchen which was extra and that was excellent.

The hotel met all our expectations. The location at a few paces from the railway station was excellent. We wanted to walk down all the streets and discover the town on our own. Excellent location also for means of transport: subway, bus ... Very clean room , very nicely modernized. Not noisy even being located in the busy part of... More

The location is fantastic. Opposite the main train station. Within walking distance of teh trendy Le Born area. Our double room with private bathroom was small but adequate and spotless. It was cleaned every day and the bedding changed. Each and every member of staff we encountered was pleasant and helpful. We especially liked the guy on reception. We were... More

Great location, one bus routes. Located across the street from Franka Rail Station. Easy access to the major sites. Easy walk to the Cathedral and were there for the Sunday traditional dance. If going to the Sangrada Famila book ahead. The free WiFi available can be used for this. A great place for food is LoBo off La Rambla -... More

The hostel was very nice, just what I needed as a place to sleep. The only negative would be the walls aren't very thick so you can hear people coming and going. The communal bathroom was kept clean and tidy. The staff were really lovely and helpful especially when I arrived to check in late at night.

The only inconvenience is noise coming from the street, even at night time, take some earplugs with you! Otherwise very convenient location, opposite Estacio de Franca, cosy interiors and clean room. Friendly staff.

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
