No complaints about the price of this hotel and staying in an old Spanish building complete with ornate plaster ceilings, marble staircase and wrought iron cage lift made this location memorable. We had a room with bathroom facing the street. It was clean, comfortable and adequate for our sleeping needs. The location was excellent for sight seeing in Barcelona. If... More

I stayed at Hostal Girona for 5 nights in May. I booked the through the HostelWorld website for a "single private ensuite room". Then I emailed the hotel directly to confirm the reservation. I received a reply that "all is okey", so I assumed that it was. However, when I arrived at the end of a long day on the... More

I stayed here last year in a double room. Took a single room this year, it's small with a shared bathroom but the size doesn't really matter as I'm here to attend the Motogp race and out of the room for over 12 hours. Bed is comfortable, TV works. Room was cleaned and tidied every day, bathrooms always clean and... More

This lovely hotel is on the upper floors of a beautiful old building in Barcelona's Eixample, and is only about 5 minutes walk to metros or 10 minutes to the Barri Gotic and El Borne districts or the Block of Discord. The room and bathroom are small, so stay away if you are a complainer. Also, the elevator can be... More

This hostal is located only a few minutes walk from Gothic district, El Borne district (my favourites) and Placa de Catalunya. It is an very nice old authentic building with amazing inner courtyard. Me and my friend got a big room with a huge double bed. There were bright colors and beautiful floor tiles. The shower was a bit small,... More

The Hostel is located near to the city centre. Great and original interior, old fashion style. Very clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. No kitchen there, but if you need staff can help you. Little bit noisy, it is because old and original building.

Lovely decorated room (floortiles!) in a beautifull building. In just a few minutes you're at a metro station but we almost walked every time to whatever direction. You are really in the city. The price is right. New bathroom in our room. Only thing that's a little disapointing is de balcony. I think it's not really ment to be used...it's... More

A lovely little hostel, which was really worth it for the short weekend get-away to the magic Barcelona. The staff was polite (despite my six-grader Spanish) and helped us with everything they could. The room was enormous and yet comfortable. Biggest plus - 10 minutes from Plaça de la Catalunya and la Rambla, 30 minutes walking from Sagrada Famillia and... More

Good location to the train station and other parts of the city! Walking distance from shopping areas. Staff was very helpful! The staff member even let me call my boyfriend when he was lost finding the hotel! The entry way into the hostel was old-fashioned and felt authentic. The bathroom was a bit small, but overall was a good value.

Great place to stay in the center of Barcelona. Clean and quiet. Helpful staff. Great communication before booking. Very reasonable prices. If ever in Barcelona again, will be staying at Hostal Girona.
