Located in the middle of the Ramblas, opposite the Opera House and next to a metro station. Our room was quite small and had twin beds. It was on the corner of the hotel and had a views of the Ramblas, the Umbrella building and an alley into the Gothic Quarter. The shutters did squeak a little on one windy... More

Stayed there for a week and also had an upgrade. The room was a very small internal room and the shower was faulty. We were able to move to another room no problem. The reception were very helpful. The hotel is in super location with a metro stop outside the door. My only criticism of the room was that there... More

Four of us had a 5 day Barcelona break, booking 2 rooms through lowcostholidays.com. Upon arrival we almost walked past the entrance it was so understated and once inside we wondered if we had made a good choice as the reception was basic and badly lit. The receptionist informed us that both rooms had been upgraded for free to a... More

This was our very first trip to Barcelona. I booked the hotel on line via the lowcostholidays website and an Easyjet flight booking. We only had a weekend to spend there, so we were anxious to see the place. The (very slow) transfer shuttle from the airport dropped us a street away, and, together with another couple, we struggled to... More

Arrived for 2 night stay for surprise for Husbands 60th birthday. Booked basic double with Breakfast. Asked the holiday company I booked with to ask them for a nice room, preferably with view. On arrival had been given an upgrade and was absolutely thrilled to have a huge room with 2 loos, 2 showers, 2 sinks, seating area with settee,... More

I am a little late writing this as we stayed here in October for our Silver Wedding Anniversary. But I have to say it was in the most perfect location - right on Las Ramblas. The hotel was lovely. We asked for a nice room and were given the top suite overlooking Las Ramblas (if you could climb up to... More

We stayed here for 3 nights. Perfect if you want a central hotel as somewhere to get your head down after a hard days exploring. Very friendly reception staff. Adequate room and awesome location. Easy for hop on/off bus tour near amazing restaurants. Breakfast was nice although it took us a while to work out how to use the coffee... More

Despite its rather bizarre name, this is a rather good hotel if you are visiting Barcelona and want a central location from which to explore. Situated in the middle of Las Ramblas, it is a trifle on the utilitarian side but it offers precisely what it claims to be, a reasonably priced traveller's hotel. The rooms are smallish but if... Having read some of the reviews of this hotel, I must admit I was skeptical about what to expect when arriving. When we arrived we were greeted by a very nice receptionist ( Short Dark Hair) who was very friendly. We had two rooms booked, one was ready when we arrived which was a nice surprise as it was only... More

Staying in La Rambla

Neighborhood Profile
La Rambla
Barcelona's most famous street was once a dry riverbed. Now, La Rambla is a 1200-meter boulevard, and a major draw for visitors. During the day, La Rambla fills with pedestrians, some of which stroll past impressive human statues and artists while others take a break to people-watch while enjoying a drink at one of the many terraces. Housed here is the iconic Boqueria Market that offers one of the most varied and appetizing selections of local produce and specialty meats and treats. While it’s important for tourists to keep an eye on their belongings at all times, this area is most safely explored in the daytime and is a must see for everyone who visits.
