This hostel was awful. Cramped into a dorm with 10 beds was quite inhumane. The air conditioning did not work and the room was like a sweat box. The window was tiny and had to be open otherwise there could of potentially been a fatality through heat stroke. With the window open, there was no chance of any sleep due... More

The location of the hostel was amazing as it was just off La rambla. So it was close to bars and restaurants. You could walk to the beach in 20-30 minutes as well as the most "famous" clubs. The room was good, pretty standard but clean and the bathrooms were also good. It was way too cold at night, however... More

Great location right on Plaza Reiel, near some amazing architecture and La Rambla, Had a very cool rooftop bar and 1 euro beers out of a vending machine. Had free breakfast and dinner. stayed in a large room with a great view of the plaza, met some amazing people and had a great time.

Stayed for 3 nights. Without doubt the worst hostel I have ever stayed in. There were 10 beds crammed into a tiny room and with little air and exceptional temperatures. The so called breakfast was pretty disgusting. This hostel is probably the noisiest place anyone could stay and it continued all night without any let-up. All this at not particular... More

The hostel itself was alright free supper usually pasta is all I seen, the staff don't really care what you have to say if there is problems you may like it because you can smoke drugs on the terrace, they take you on the exact same pub crawls every night even when I specifically asked them if it was the... I have backpacked Europe several times--- and because Barcelona is my favourite city in the world, I have stayed at Kabul several different times. The location is fabulous- right off of Las Ramblas, in Placa Rieal. It is surrounded by lots of night life, a metro stop, bus stops, it is about a 20 minute walk from the main beach.... More

Perfect location, very centralized. However the hostel is VERY noisy, and the rooms are quite hot. No airc onditioning so it required having the windows open which resulted in the noise level being much worse. Great lockers provided, bathrooms are clean, beds are clean. Price was fair, maybe a little high, but Barcelona is a major city and you cannot... More

Free dinner with happy hour and free entrance to some night clubs... Can get quite noise, hard to sleep with drunk people arriving anytime, but much fun! Great location! Loved their mojitos!! Walking distance to shoping area

Kabul is wonderfully located on la Rambla. You cannot find a better place to stay personally. Me and my friend had booked for a 4 bed dorm for 7 nights but they upgraded us to a 2 persons dorm. It was indeed small but really clean. The bathrooms also are really clean and there always is boiling hot water. However,... More

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
