If you are under 25 and looking to PARTY on a budget in Barcelona, then look no further. Kabul is your spot. You'll meet many others like yourself when staying in their massive rooms of bunk beds and while partying in their bar downstairs that has beer vending machines and drink specials all the time. You get your own private... More

A good hostel for couple, youngster, backpackers etc but definitely not for family. Anyway as in a group of friends backpacking, definitely a nice place to stay. I love the big metal locker cum safe. Feel so safer keeping all my stuff there while i am outdoor. The plus point is location. Located in the La Rambla street where all... More

We had the greatest time there. Sure, it wasnt the cleanest ou prettiest hostel we staied during our trip trough Europe, but they had the best parties and we got to know a lot of young and nice people! If you like to party, you must go. Otherwise, just choose another place.

Positives: At the heart of La Rambla, good rooms, good security, good showers. Chance of free lunch. Loud parties in the cafeteria. Negatives: Loud Parties in the cafeteria (after three days, when you want to sit there just to get wifi or charge your gadgets, it grates you.) Huge and consequently impersonal, staff believes in tough love. No character like... More

Great location, just off La Ramblas, in a lively square and surrounded by lots of shops and restaurants. The Metro is only a short walk away, so it's easy to get to/from the airport and the sights. Rooms were a little small, but that's only to be expected in a hostel, and the beds were comfy. Best place to stay... More

I was looking for a good time, just as anyone else in Barcelona would. Kabul was supposedly the "party hostel" but after staying there for 4 nights, I will never go back. The staff is unfriendly and rude and not helpful whatsoever... the rooms and living style is dirty and cramped. I actually had two friends leave the hostel and... More

Awesome hotel, with great people and great environnment. Breakfast and dinner included and free entry for different clubs each night. Besides its well located and I think one of the cheapest in town. The only problems is that the commun area ( bar) of the hostel is closed at 1 am so if u want to hang around there is... More

I was with my cousin in this awesome hostel. Perfect location (on the Ramblas, 15 mn de la plage), very clean (what was not easy, considering they were practily full at the time, with all this young people - and sometimes not that educated people), good breakfest (muffin, cereals, bread, milk, coffee), nice staff also.

Kabul was great place to stay for a weekend in Barcelona. The price is good for travellers on a budget. The location is also perfect-5 mins from metro, in the main street, close to shops and hundreds of restaurants etc. they throw really good parties and the free breakfast and dinner is really good. Rooms and bathrooms are both clean.... More

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
