Clean, central located hotel on the busy strip La Rambla and Barri Gotic quarter. Easy access to the bus train and metro network also Hop-on Hop-off busses from Placa Catalunya. A Heaps of eateries close by.

My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel for four nights before taking a cruise and were very happy with it. The rooms are lovely with remote controlled window blinds ,a remote controlled adjustable bed and a fabulous bathtub. The buffet breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect... More

We stayed here for three nights. The staff are wonderful and very helpful. Although Las Ramblas is very loud, it is completely quiet inside. Out room faced the street and had two layer of window, which helped. The rooms are small and unfortunately the air conditioning was the worst we've had in Spain thus far (even in Seville/Granada). It was... More

We spent four nights at the Hotel Montecarlo and couldn't have asked for a better stay. We enjoyed being on the busy La Rambla and though the activity never stopped and we had a room facing the street, we were on the 5th floor and were never bothered by noise. Our deluxe room was enormous and had all the amenities... More

Had a great stay the staff there were great especially Ricardo, Camille and Alex were full of great recommendations. Helped us out by expressing a card I left in the safe to us in Paris so helpful will return for sure. The knowledge of the area is great, the room was perfect every time we returned. The hotel is a... More

This is a wonderful hotel located in a prime location. Many excellent restaurants and stores of all types. The hotel is very clean and the rooms were new with fine decor. This is one of the most agreeable hotels I have stayed at in some time. Old World charm and the highest levels of personalized attention and service. Centrally located. Quiet. Comfortable. And reasonably priced. I offer the absolutely highest recommendation!

We stayed in a hotel room that was described as having no windows/no view. In actuality there were 2 large windows, just without a view. This didn't matter at all as the room was spacious, clean and in a fantastic location. We would definitely stay here again.

This is a lovely historic hotel in a central location with friendly service. I met my cousin from Berlin there and we both had two rooms which are hard to find. I highly recommend this hotel with personable service.

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
