we only had breakfast here once. It was good but we enjoyed getting out to one of the many local restaurants for cappuccino. clean spacious room and friendly staff. 2 blocks from the bouda bar - one of the best bars I've visited in the world. Very small. could only sample a few of the over 400 gin and tonics... More

We checked in the hotel on May 17, 2015 for five nights. We found that the hotel is centrally located, close to all transits, shops and restaurants. The supermarket is just across the road. No visitors are allowed in the hotel which makes the hotel a safe place to stay. The room is spacious and clean. Service is good and... More

Just stayed three nights in this hotel and we couldn't fault it. The experience was enhanced by friendly and helpful staff, who were pleased to advise on any queries and their advice on good places to eat was much appreciated. Our room was at the back of the hotel, comfortable, quiet and with all mod cons including strong wifi. A... More

The welcome was fantastic and set the tone for the whole stay, every team member was helpful and genuinely friendly. Very clean, large rooms with great facilities and the free wifi worked perfectly. Very central location so easy to get wherever you want too, would definitely recommend.

I was astounded at the quality of the beds and bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful. Could not get a better location for exploring Barcelona. The price was extremely reasonable for the location and quality.

Had a wonderful one week stay in this hotel. Perfect location for walking about and easy transport to all the sights. Our room was a quiet, comfortable oasis in the middle of it all. Loved the adjustable bed and black-out shades, windows that open over the courtyard, roof terrace with fabulous views, etc. The staff were great, too. Very friendly... More

Very good hotel: central location, however, rooms were very quite, we did not have any problems with outside noise. Most sightseeing were within walking distance. Hotel looks nice and old from outside, it is very modern and updated inside. Very clean, beds were comfortable. We did not buy breakfast from the hotel making decision to try local food at La... Great hotel. V. Clean, courteous front desk personnel, modern room & bath. The very best -- location right on Las Ramlas. Rooms r pretty much sound-proof. If they only added more shelve space in the room I would give it 5 stars. It is not luxury hotel but if u don't need glitz - it is perfect!

Great location on La Rambla, right where everything happens in Barcelona, impeccable hotel, nice sized room, very large bathroom, soundproof with solid doors, walls, and thick secure windows. There is a different atmosphere at all hours on La Rambla, and plenty to explore right there in the Old Gothic Quarter.

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
