Stayed here for 1 night after a cruise before continuing on to Lisbon. Third visit to Barcelona. A beautiful and exciting city. Hotel is a short Taxi from the port (15+ Euro) If you get there early morning they will stow your luggage but the room may not be ready until noon (better than 3:00!!) In the meantime stroll the... We were very pleased with this hotel. It was good value for money. It was very clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, it was comfortable and in an excellent central location . Take some earplugs if you are a light sleeper - you're on La Rambla for goodness sake! Couldn't fault it.

The hotel is perfectly located on La Rambla, about a 5 min walk from Dressanes Metro station and a 15 min walk from Pl Catalunya (Where the Aerobus drops off and picks up). Perfect for exploring the city of Barcelona. Room size was good and very clean. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was cosy but functional. Shower was great (Powerful).... More

The hotel is in an excellent location to explore Barcelona. Room was good size and was very clean. Breakfast food choices could improve. The hotel interior is a bit dated but there is something warm about it. The staff at the front desk is very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. Just one note of caution, La... I have just spent two nights at this hotel and really appreciated the quality - well located and easy access to the metro. The personnel are very welcome and helpful - room and bathroom are clean including with a safe for personal items. Next break to Barcelona, I will book the same hotel.

The Cuatro Naciones Hotel is located at the heart of Barcelona. Everything you need is quite near to the hotel such as restaurants, take-aways, bars, handicraft and souvenirs, supermarkets, subway stations and picturesque buildings. Most of the time I walked around with no need to take public transportation or taxi. The hotel is a little bit old fashioned but it... More

My wife and I stayed for a long weekend for my birthday on 01/02/15 for 3 nights. The weather was freezing cold [it snowed on one day] but the room had heating, which had been thoughtfully switched on for our arrival. The room, including the bathroom was comfortable and clean. Free wi fi and a flat screen tv gave added... More

We had a room facing Las Ramblas. Was lovely to just stand at the balcony and enjoy the feel of the city. Was also a short walk from the metro so very convenient. Loads of eateries, shops and supermarkets around. Walk-able from Placa Catalunya too (about 10min) Is quite noisy 24*7 though (if you have a room facing Las Ramblas).... More

Staying in La Rambla

Neighborhood Profile
La Rambla
Barcelona's most famous street was once a dry riverbed. Now, La Rambla is a 1200-meter boulevard, and a major draw for visitors. During the day, La Rambla fills with pedestrians, some of which stroll past impressive human statues and artists while others take a break to people-watch while enjoying a drink at one of the many terraces. Housed here is the iconic Boqueria Market that offers one of the most varied and appetizing selections of local produce and specialty meats and treats. While it’s important for tourists to keep an eye on their belongings at all times, this area is most safely explored in the daytime and is a must see for everyone who visits.
