Like previous reviewer was attracted to this hotel based on previous reviews & in particular location which in fairness is just 50m off La Ramblas. Easy walking distance in one direction to Pl Catalunya & in the oppsoite to the Port. Not a pleasant location to be returning to after dark. The room was clean & functional but the major... More

I booked this hotel due to the "awesome" location and fairly decent reviews. Wow was I disappointed. Never again will I book a non-refundable hotel that I don't know more about. This place is livable, but thats about it. Every single door opening and closing to other hotel rooms can be heard throughout the floor. Very thin walls, and very... More

We stayed at this hotel post cruise and it was just a short taxi ride from the cruise terminal. Ideally situated for a short stay in Barcelona, steps from Las Ramblas and directly opposite Gaudi's Palau Guell - within easy walking distance of the seafront and with easy access to the subway station. Our superior room was on the 4th... More

Our family of 5- 2 adults and children 17, 10 and 8 stayed in January 2015 We thorughly enjoyed our stay in Hotel Gaudi, the location is great, the rooms clean and modern and the staff friendly and attentive. We had rooms next to each other, a double room and a room with 3 singles so we had plenty of... More

Its close to La Ramblas, so an awesome location. It wasn't too expensive to stay, the rooms were good and clean, also the view from the rooftop is worth the stay if you are a Gaudi fan, you have to go up there for a look and take your camera. F&B wasn't the best but was still OK. The location... More

I really enjoyed this place. Easy to find and it wasn't too expensive to stay, the rooms were good and clean (considering the price and location), and the view from the rooftop is amazing- definitely go up there for a look and take your camera. The breakfast buffet was a bit pricey, so we opted for a cafe down the... More

We were exhausted when we arrived at 10am for our stay. Our room was not yet cleaned but the clerk stored our bags and told us to return at 2pm and he would give us the first room that came available. When we returned at 1:20pm, we waited on the lobby couch until a room was ready. Our room was... More

The hotel Gaudi is easy to find. The staff are really lovely. The rooms are a good size and clean. We had a room facing the street, right across from the Gaudi Palace, but we had no street noise. Its a funky wee hotel. We didnt have breakfast there, and the bar is tiny. But we had a very positive... More

We stayed here for a week and it was a great location as we could walk to most places or have just a short walk to the train station. The room was just average. If you go on the roof there's an awesome view across the way at the roof of Palau Guell.. One of Antoni Gaudi's works with beautiful... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
