Stayed for 6 nights location great 100meters to La Rambla.Close to metro station. Many eateries in area, room was very comfortable, clean & with balcony overlooking Palau Guell, can be a little noisy if you leave balcony door open overnight.Streets have people till early hours.Disappointed with pool, I booked the hotel specifically for a pool as Barcelona can get very hot & it had... I had researched hotels in Barcelona for 2 nights pre-cruise and was impressed by the quirky nature of the hotel and excellent pre-stay emails from hotel staff helping me choose a great room! And great room we got!! Firstly the staff were fantastic and really helpful when we nearly lost our booking due to an expired credit card. The location... More

We went for 4 nights. 3 of us in one room. It was very clean and comfortable. No frills and no luxury. Great location. Very helpful guy that brought our bags up to the room on arrival and pointed out on the map where there were some good restaurants. We didnt eat in the hotels during our stay. We did... More

Rooms were clean. Staff friendly. However, we booked a family room with 2 grown up children for 2 nights and we were only given 1 shampoo, 1 shower gel and 1 conditioner. There were no tea making facilities in the room nor any complimentary bottles of water. Was unable to get a reply from room service and was told by... More

Stayed at the Hotel Gaudi for 2 nights before a cruise. The hotel was very nice with a friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean and comfortable. Beds a bit hard but that is a personal preference. The location was perfect, just steps from La Rambla. Also close to the port so it was just a short taxi ride... More

Rooms are very very small, expensive and loud, we stayed here for 3 nights and couldn't have any stretch of continuous sleep. Other than that, this hotel is located centrally to everything, such lively and fun neighborhood. If you want to stay here, please do yourself a favor and bring some ear plugs.

After deciding on Barcelona for a short break we booked to stay at hotel Gaudi just of the bustling La Rambla Lovely entrance area to hotel and friendly staff. Room was great, really quiet, nice balcony and well equipped. Great breakfast in the morning, very relaxed feel to the place. Lovely viewing deck and bar on top of the hotel.... More

My husband and I stayed at this hotel during our honeymoon and loved it. We had just come from Paris and a very nice hotel, however it was small so when we stepped into our room at the Hotel Gaudi we were thrilled with the amount of space! The room was large with 2 huge closets, a desk, large bathroom... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
