After deciding on Barcelona for a short break we booked to stay at hotel Gaudi just of the bustling La Rambla Lovely entrance area to hotel and friendly staff. Room was great, really quiet, nice balcony and well equipped. Great breakfast in the morning, very relaxed feel to the place. Lovely viewing deck and bar on top of the hotel.... More

My husband and I stayed at this hotel during our honeymoon and loved it. We had just come from Paris and a very nice hotel, however it was small so when we stepped into our room at the Hotel Gaudi we were thrilled with the amount of space! The room was large with 2 huge closets, a desk, large bathroom... More

We spent 2 nights at Hotel Gaudi after our 12 day cruise. We loved the location of this hotel. Not even a block off The Ramblas. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The rooms were fine and we enjoyed the terrace in the evenings.

Great staff superb location and one of the only hotels that accommodated 3 single beds. Infinite pool is maybe not what you would expect but worth a look if only for the giggle. The location being just off the ramblas is ideal and close to all transport, bars and restaurants.

The Gaudi is a hotel we return to and this time, after a 2 year absence, we found that it had been upgraded but still has the same friendly staff and ambience. The addition of a small rooftop pool with bar from which one can admire the roof of the Palau Guell and the skyline of the city is quite... More

I found this hotel via TripAdvisor as we originally booked an apartment near the Sagrada Familia. The apartment did not allow check in until 3pm, but my family and I arrived at 10am and needed a safe place to store our luggage as we went around the city. After reading a lot of positive reviews, we called Hotel Gaudi and... More

The staff was helpful. Then it went downhill. I had paid through Expedia and gave them made credit card for any addition charges. When I got to BCN the next morning I received an email from AMEX thatthey billed for the night I already paid for. They charge for a key to the room safe. The bar was small and... More

Dear guest, Thank you for your review. It is always helpful for me to have continuous feeback that gives me useful information to improve the hotel. I would only like to point out that, even though you had made a non-refundable booking several months before your arrival and we could have charged your credit card at the moment of the... More

Great views, staff charming, not sure why other guests have complained. Perfectly situated for the metro. Could not fault, did not have breakfast so cannot comment. Rooms are basic but you get what you pay for, we were at the back overlooking the police car park, which okay is not particularly attractive but you are in Barcelona to sight see,... More

Another one night stop over in a very nice hotel just off the Ramblas, Private underground parking and pet friendly. These are the main features we look for. We had a top floor room with an outside area overlooking the city. Fabulous big room, massive bed and good sized bathroom. Very nice and helpfull staff. Really enjoyed our stay, Barcelona... More

Arrived to the Gaudi and was made to feel very welcome by hotel staff, quick check in and received a room upgrade. A porter helped us with our bags to the room which was lovely. Very spacious, balcony plenty big enough for 3 of us to sit at. Nice clean bathroom with two showers. Rooftop terrace which was a real... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
