The location is very, very central. Right opposite the hotel's entrance is the entrance to Palace Guell which is a must-see place for everyone who admires extravagant taste and the genious of Gaudi. One os Barca's main streets - La Rambla, is 10 m away from the hotel's entrance as well. The area is very touristic which we did not... More

Very happy with our stay here. Room was nice, if a little smaller than expected from the website photographs, but the view from our balcony (double superior room on 5th floor) more than made up for it. Breakfast was good value. Staff were very helpful throughout our stay. It is very close for Las Ramblas, and has plenty of options... More

A lovely, clean hotel with great views over Gaudi's Museum Guell and the rest of the city. Hotel was very clean and is a two second walk to the Rambla. We are a couple in our late 20s who would usually chose a higher rated hotel but we weren't disappointed with this at all. Would definitely stay here again -... More

(that is why i have chosen this hotel) hotel staff is very friendly, very eager to help, and really professional, i have got room... More

A nice clean hotel and base for a weekend in Barcelona. Very friendly staff in bar and reception. Would definitely recommend for a short break. We didn't eat in the hotel as there were plenty of bars and restaurants close by but used the bar area which was comfortable and worthwhile for pre dinner drinks. All in all a great... More

We visited Barcelona for the fourth time in January on a budget city break and booked this hotel through the easyjet website. We did not expect it to turn out to be this good. Located immediately off the Rambles it is brilliantly placed to get around all the sites, and just 75yards from the Metro. The room was well decorated... More

We booked 4 twin rooms as a little New Year treat. 3 were on the 4th floor and the one "Superior" room had that jaw-dropping view across Palace Guell's kaleidoscopic chimney pots (although all the rooms were good, if not brilliantly sound-proofed). I literally said "Wow" out loud to myself as I opened the shutters onto the illuminated rooftop. The... More

Very good hotel, clean, great location. Nice view to one of the Gaudi houses. Too bad the hotel staff could not give directions....they don't know or give you bad directions which makes you walk for 2 km for mo reason.

This hotel is in a good location, just off La Rambla, and across from the Palau Güell. The rooms are smaller, but very clean and functional. We had a room with a balcony and a tub, which we liked a lot. The breakfast was plentiful with a good variety, including several coffees, teas, eggs, pastry, cereal. The staff at breakfast... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
