Gem of a hotel. Right bet to Le Ramblas and a short walk to the harbour. All the other sights can be walked to easily and the metro is close by too. The staff are very helpful and friendly, especially Mr Lopez. The rooms are spotless and maid service is everyday. The roof top terrace is simply stunning. Even in... More

The hotel Gaudi was very pleasant, the staff were helpful and the rooms very clean and nicely furnished. Our room was on the fourth floor and overlooked the rooftop of one of the Gaudi buildings which was opposite us giving us unlimited views of the art on the roof which was very nice. There is advertised a rooftop bar and... More

The location of this hotel is fabulous if you want to be very close to Las Ramblas (but why would you want to??). The staff are very friendly and helpful, specially Mark. The rooms are clean but if you are facing the street also very noisy and quite small. The skateboarders seem to use this road constantly. We were given... More

Fabulous place to stay. The location is superb just a 30 second walk to La Rambla. I really liked the staff there. Edwardo was our concierge guy, he was always obliging to help us, always had a map out offering directions and comprehensive knowledge on where to go. Another fabulous bonus is that the Hotel is directly opposite the famous... More

The Hotel Gaudi is a nice smaller hotel in an excellent location, a block away from La Rambla. What is excellent also is the hotel is directly across the street from Palau Guell designed by Gaudi. The hotel rooms themselves are average and nothing outstanding but they are clean and comfortable. We asked for a view and received a room... More

We arrived around 11pm and found our room to be very small with dark wood furniture a small double bed (queen sized) and the window looked out on to 3 more walls creating a square giving us no natural light. The room was immaculately clean but very depressing. In the morning we asked for a larger, lighter room and this... More

Excellent location, a few steps to La Rambla, a block from Placa Real and directly across the street from Palau Guell Other than its excellent location, there is no reason to stay at Hotel Gaudi. The place is old and and feels outdated. The rooms facing the street are very noisy. Hallways are covered with tiles, so every time somebody... More

The hotel is placed just off the Ramblas and opposite Gaudí's Casa Güell - two of the city's main attractions. Another advantage, it has its own garage (at extra cost). Unfortunately, it's noisy. Every time somebody bangs a door or flushes the toilet at night, the whole hotel hears it. Considering Barcelona's lifestyle, that's most of the night. And if... More

The hotel is well placed, just off the Ramblas and opposite Gaudí's Casa Güell. Also, it has its own garage (extra cost), which is an advantage. On the negative side, every time somebody bangs a door or flushes the toilet at night, the whole hotel hears it - which is all night, considering Barcelona's lifestyle. Not to mention noisy, revelling... More

Steps from the las Ramblas and directly across from the Palau Guell, you are in Gaudi country here for sure. We were first given a room downstairs which seemed subterranean and had a very small double bed. When we said this would not do at all for my 6'5" husband, they were very gracious and happily changed our room to... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
