Great location 3 mins walk from Las Ramblas. Located on a little alley surrounded by nice shops. Though it can be a bit creepy at night with scary looking people wandering around. We stayed for 3 night.. Perfectly safe though. The room was quite small.. I guess the room with twin beds got much bigger space so if you got... More

Went October 2014. Hotel was located very close to Las Ramblas. There were many shops and restaurants near the hotel. Hotel was clean, but rooms were very small. Great price. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Free breakfast. Only thing I thought was strange was when you left the hotel you had to leave your room key with the staff.... More

The hotel is very conveniently situated in the very heart of the Old Town. The staff are very helpful, and the rooms are clean. I knew beforehand that there is no window in the room; the room, however, did not feel claustrophobic. Finally, the internet was quite stable and fast. The absence of toiletries in the bathroom (only soap is... More

I was here in april 2011 with my girfriend and my friends. Very good location, close to underground station, sea side and "Les Rambles" main tourist street. Quiet and friendly hotel. Many shops and restaurant around.

All in all I feel this hotel was average. Staff were polite, but prices were high, and I don't feel we got good value despite being in a very good location in the gothic quarter. The rooms were really quite small with very limited facilities, and we could hear everything the people in the next room were saying and doing... More

If you want to be in the old town, this hotel is in a fantastic location. Its 5 minutes walk from Liceu Metro station in the Jewish quarter of the old town, in a relatively quiet lane. We found the staff knew English and were very helpful with answering various questions we had. However, for the Euro 200 that i... More

The hotel is centrally located in Gothic quarter, just behind the Barcelona cathedral. The neighbourhood is fascinating, narrow alleys, packed with cafes and restaurants. It is also so close to La rambla walking street and El born and 20 minutes walk to the barceloneta beach. The hotel itself is really small, nothing fancy, with small but spotlessly clean rooms and... The location, can not be better, it is located in the heart of Barcelona, in one of the charming little streets. The only problem is that the rooms are extremely small and the walls not thick enough so the noise travels from one room to another. But all that is overly compensated by the location as it is walking distance... More

The rooms were very small indeed. There was barely space for 2 ppl to walk around. There no windows except for the one in the bathroom facing a wall. But its value for money! Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
