Located near metro station, this hotel makes it easy to travel about the city. You're about a minute off La Rambla, Barcelona's main walking thoroughfare. Now the bad news. The building is old. Our room had water damage on the ceiling, the AC dripped water, the cracked tile floor never felt clean, the bathroom was cramped. Given its relatively low... More

Stayed here for a night as I needed somewhere to put my luggage and have a sleep after a few bevvies. Definitely rather pay a little more and actually sleep somewhere else. The room was on a third floor and with no natural light. The bed was ok, maybe a little on the harder side. The bathroom (higher area of... More

The place was kind of like hostel. It wasnt dirty, but not super clean either... Breakfast was coffee and bread with cheese or jam, maybe some omelette. Something to eat before you go out. The location is great. Its the place for budget.

Stayed for 3 nights, great prices. Nice room with large bathroom. Lovely open courtyard with free wifi. Nice and clean. Would highly recommend as its so close to centre, 15min walk from airport bus stop, will certainly go back! Thank you for a wonderful mini break!

Myself and my mum stayed here for a weekend in early July. We arrived early evening and check in was straight forward. Our room was on the fourth floor. There is a lift for guests to use, in addition to the stairs. Our room was small but clean, with a nice bathroom with shower. The bedding was crisp and white... More

Didn't expect much from this hotel but was pleasantly surprised. Loved the quaintness. Rooms had everything required, very clean and fresh towels everyday. Having a balcony was an added bonus for us which we made use of people watching every morning before breakfast which was average but a bonus within the price range per night. Was a great location in... More

This hotel is very very simple, in old building, with old furniture and young staff. Good for somebody who prefers to stay out in the city rather to relax in the room. The wifi is available in large atrium, but in the atrium are not available power sockets, so usage of wifi is limited by capacity of your battery. The... More

The hotel was very basic but clean and adequate. Location was excellent and staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good but would have been better with some fresh fruit as a healthy option. It would also have been better to have had Wi-Fi on all floors and possibly TV in the room. There should definitely have been tea and coffee... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
