The location is perfect just near the barcelonetta and barri gotic. staff is very kind and helpful. hotel is clean and nice. Plus there are two elevators. Allthough the rooms are a little bit small, I recommend this hotel and i would exactly stay here when i go to barcelona again.

You could tell room facility is old and remodeling. But still could smell the Musty in the room since no ventilation equipment inside the bathroom. I believe it was once a 4-star, but it's should be long time ago. It should be 2 star now. Service was nice, location is great. That's all.

This hotel is close to the gothic neighborhood of Barcelona and also close to the porto. Staff is very friendly and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. I really like this hotel and I recommend it. There is a supermarket very close where you can drinks and food to take into the hotel room.

We were a little apprehensive after reading reviews on here so did not have high very expectations but were so pleased to be proved wrong. Hotel less than 10 mins from rambles and even less time from the beach. Free tea and coffee on reception and very good english speaking staff on reception. Rooms have a safe and are modern... More

I spent a weekend at Laietana hotel. I recommend this hotel above all for the position. In addition, the staff is very kind and professional, the room was very nice and clean, It was unexpensive compared to other 4 stars hotel in Barcelona.

We stayed in this hotel for a short stay, three nights. We had room 305 at the front on the 3rd floor. The busy road caused a lot of noise day and night. Noise is the keyword for this hotel. Sound insulation and refurbishment would inprove this hotel a lot. We heard the road, the neighbours in the next room... More

nice hotel, well maintained and clean. The big advantage is its location, near the sea, town center and street la Rambla. Rooms bright, but not too quiet, you can hear Trams. Cumbersome also use the wifi, because every time you need to enter your username and password printed on the front desk.

I booked this an Expedia Secret Hotel, so it was a roll of the dice. Great location in the Gothic Quarter, walking distance to waterfront, Barcelona Cathedral, Gothic quarter, Los Rambas, and much more. Staff was very helpful, to a point. My room had a non-function AC/Heat unit, so while it was 65 degrees outside (and very nice) my room... More

Having read some of the reviews of this hotel, I was rather dreading staying here... In fact, it was fine. It's a bit old-fashioned and the lobby smells slightly musty, but it was perfectly OK if not somewhere I'd necessarily choose to stay again. The location is great though. I had a room at the top of the hotel with... More

Room is comfortable, and not too small. Air conditioning worked well. This hotel is very convenient to the old city and harbor. A few blocks from the cathedral and the Picasso museum; back up on Barri Gotic. Staff very helpful and recommended buying La Sagrada tickets online, which saved hours standing in line..

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
