My boyfriend and I spent 2 nights here in June and had the best short break we've ever had. The hotel was very reasonably priced, the staff were really helpful, the room was lovely (bright, clean, quiet and spacious) with a lovely view of the roman remains, but the greatest thing about the hotel is definitely it's amazing location. Just... More

We picked this hotel as it said there was an airport shuttle, but there was NOT, which we ended up spending extra 60 Euro for cabs from/to the airport in total. The bed was so hard to slep on and the shower was so weak. However, the location was excellent and the staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast... More

Reasonably priced hotel only a few hundred metres from the Gothic Cathedral. Bus stop for the tourist sightseeing bus is close by so easy access to all city sights. Ask for a room with a view of the roman ruins as this cuts out a lot of the traffic noise. Rooms have a safe for a 25 euro deposit to... More

My boyfriend and I spent 3 nights here in May. The hotel itself is pleasant however we paid for a upgraded room and were slightly disappointed with the space and view. Overall it was clean and the maids came daily - always great to come home to a freshly made room. A couple things to note, the bed was VERY... More

Hotel is located in a good area, close to La Rambla & Sea. Hotel Is clean & staff was very helpful. "Nacho" was especially helpful in making our stay as comfortable as possible. Would recommend this hotel to others.

Stayed here last week for a 5 nights and it was fabulous. couldnt fault a thing. Staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was nice and quiet as we were kindly put at the back of the hotel away from the main road. Great location 5 mins walk from the beach, the centre, metro and airport bus. We will... More

The location is perfect for a walking tour around the city centre. There is a metro station just accross the street. The rooms are convenient and clean. Despite the street lights and the trafic outside, the noise is insignificant inside. The staff is helpful and kind. I would stay at this place again if I visit Barcelona.

we went for a short 4 night break, started by getting ripped off by the taxi driver who was very nice, and smiled sweetly as he charged us 45e from the airport , i found it so stereo-typically funny that i gave him a tip! we had arrived very early and our room was not yet ready, but the hotel... Best were most uncomfortable I've ever stayed in. Went as a couple, booking was for a double room. Two single beds were pushed together on separate bases so kept sliding apart. Separate bedding on each bed too. Loud noise of children crying in room above and children playing in room next door kept us awake both nights too! Pity, as... More

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
