Stayed here last week for a 5 nights and it was fabulous. couldnt fault a thing. Staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was nice and quiet as we were kindly put at the back of the hotel away from the main road. Great location 5 mins walk from the beach, the centre, metro and airport bus. We will... More

The location is perfect for a walking tour around the city centre. There is a metro station just accross the street. The rooms are convenient and clean. Despite the street lights and the trafic outside, the noise is insignificant inside. The staff is helpful and kind. I would stay at this place again if I visit Barcelona.

we went for a short 4 night break, started by getting ripped off by the taxi driver who was very nice, and smiled sweetly as he charged us 45e from the airport , i found it so stereo-typically funny that i gave him a tip! we had arrived very early and our room was not yet ready, but the hotel... Best were most uncomfortable I've ever stayed in. Went as a couple, booking was for a double room. Two single beds were pushed together on separate bases so kept sliding apart. Separate bedding on each bed too. Loud noise of children crying in room above and children playing in room next door kept us awake both nights too! Pity, as... More

We had high expectations for this 4 star hotel based on the pictures on their website. Alas we were given a very small converted attic with only a roof light window. The room had no air conditioning which meant we had to leave the window open all of the time and the main road outside was extremely noisy making sleep... More

The location is perfect just near the barcelonetta and barri gotic. staff is very kind and helpful. hotel is clean and nice. Plus there are two elevators. Allthough the rooms are a little bit small, I recommend this hotel and i would exactly stay here when i go to barcelona again.

You could tell room facility is old and remodeling. But still could smell the Musty in the room since no ventilation equipment inside the bathroom. I believe it was once a 4-star, but it's should be long time ago. It should be 2 star now. Service was nice, location is great. That's all.

This hotel is close to the gothic neighborhood of Barcelona and also close to the porto. Staff is very friendly and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. I really like this hotel and I recommend it. There is a supermarket very close where you can drinks and food to take into the hotel room.

We were a little apprehensive after reading reviews on here so did not have high very expectations but were so pleased to be proved wrong. Hotel less than 10 mins from rambles and even less time from the beach. Free tea and coffee on reception and very good english speaking staff on reception. Rooms have a safe and are modern... More

I spent a weekend at Laietana hotel. I recommend this hotel above all for the position. In addition, the staff is very kind and professional, the room was very nice and clean, It was unexpensive compared to other 4 stars hotel in Barcelona.

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
