Personally, this 3 star hotel deserves at least 4 stars. Located at Plaza Catalunya, it's 5 mins on foot to La Rambla, a 10 min jaunt to the shopping district and a 15 min leisurely stroll to the Gothic quarters; with the Metro just 20m from the hotel entrance. Plenty of cabs along the street as well so no worries... More

As many of the other reviews have stated you really can't get a better position than this hotel - right on the main square with an endless stream of taxis always just outside the door! The hotel itself is well appointed and of a nice size so you don't get lost in the soulless barns that are so many large... More

We just spent a couple of days in Barcelona on the way to another destination and chose this hotel largely based on location. It faces the Catalunya Plaza, which turned out to be perfect. They were exceptionally busy the weekend we were there and yet the staff was friendly and accommodating to our needs. The reception area is very small... More

Wish I had my pedometer on during our stay at the H10 Catalunya Plaza. You could not ask for a better location for exploring Barcelona. While it is certainly in a central location with the HOHO buses stopping directly in front of the hotel and the Aerobus located on the opposite side of the Plaza, it is its walking location... More

Just returned from two nights and three very full days in Barcelona. I chose this hotel based on it's excellent location and the abundant good reviews. What I didn't expect was the incredible first class service I received from the moment I arrived until the car picked me up to whisk me away to the airport. German Sanchez was the... More

Just back from a long weekend in Barcelona staying three nights in this hotel. The hotel is in an excellent location, easy journey from the airport and a very easy walk to La Ramblas. We took the bus tour on the Saturday and the tour starts literally across the road from the hotel. The hotel is very clean, the rooms... More

We stayed for a weekend in September and the location is the best you can get in Barcelona, overlooking Placa Catalunya. Great for a short break. The rooms are very cosy with a lovely deco, making you feel really comfortable, it also has a Nespresso in the Room. Breakfast was very good, although we did not try room service.

Dear Marc A, Thank you so much for taking your time! We are really happy to read you liked our new decoration. The hotel was fully refurbished at the beginning of this year and we are very proud of it! No doubt the Nespresso in the room is a plus and the high quality/variety of our breakfast products is a... This hotel is on Plaza Catalunya which is ground zero for just about everything. Airport Aerobus comes directly here in 3 stops at a fraction of the cost of a taxi. Outside hotel is taxis, tour buses, trains, buses, stores, shops, restaurants, and sightseeing. Hotel is completely renovated and immaculately cleam. Rooms are small but nicely appointed. Be sure to... More

Dear George and Veronica, Please, let me thank you for taking your time in publiching this review. As you say, we are on ground zero. Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
