We stayed for 6 enjoyable nights. Really friendly and helpful staff, we were able to switch rooms to one with a view after the first night. Impressive breakfast with a menu for your preferences in eggs:) Can't beat the location at the catalunya plaza and right next to the metro station. Try the 20 euro menu at Contempo next door!

This boutique hotel is well located , clean and friendly. It is a perfect spot next to trains and buses. Rooms are small but functional. There is complimentary drinks and wifi . Shopping is close by and Gaudi's apartments are within walking distance.

A great location. Near the central/catalunya plaza. You can just walk easily to find shops, restaurants, etc. The hotel is nice, it is small, but it's a great place. The staffs are friendly. The room, for me, and my family are a bit small, considering we're from Asia and usually we have a large bedroom. We can't open our luggage... More

We had just one night in Barcelona this time and wanted a hotel not too expensive in a central location and this one was perfect. Clean, nicely decorated rooms and a cool bar. Very close to the big shopping street Passeig de Gracia and La Rambla. Lots of bars, restaurants and shops just outside the hotel. Great hotel for a... More

Stayed twice, before and after cruise. Great location, clean tidy city centre hotel. bottle of champagne on arrival very friendly staff, and balcony overlooking Catalunya Plaza. Breakfast a bit pricey but cafes near by provide a good option.

Great hotel, lovely rooms, fantastic staff and ideal central location. Complimentary cava delivered to room on first day and chocolates daily. Breakfast in the a la carte restaurant if fairly expensive but delicious with a huge selection and great service. Well located for La Ramblas, city bus tours, aerobus and Hard Rock Cafe. We will definitely be returning to Barcelona... More

Great location, a few steps to La Rambla, airport shuttle just across the plaza, Hop on Hop Off Bus just outside. Within walking distance to the Cathedral, La Bouqueteria, etc., Yes, the room is on the small side, but the other pluses makes up for it - Krups coffee maker in the room, 2 bottles of complimentary water daily, lounge... Smack dab in the middle of tourist central, with both City Tour hop-on hop-off and Turistic have their starting point there, I was afraid our stay would be filled with people's voices and cars honking. But it was surprisingly quiet and comfortable inside. It was like a different world, with a library floor and a dining area that spells class.... More

Lovely boutique hotel with excellent and warm service and an amazing breakfast! Great location as well; we walked everywhere and loved that! Rooms are comfortable and champagne was included with a warm welcome note! There's also good internet included in the stay.

My second stay here, this time with my two grown children. Excellent location at Catalunya Paza adjacent to Las Ramblas .... and flawless service - the breakfast still stylish and superb..... worth the relative inconvenience of the small rooms. Will come again next year, but I do not recommend this hotel for families with small and active children.

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
