The place is situated in an apartment and has excellent location. All major attractions are nearby. We stayed here for two nights and were delighted by the cleanliness and the wonderful breakfast spread. It was one of the best ones on the trip. The staff was helpful and explains you in detail regarding Barcelona. The room is nicely done but... More

We spent 6 nights at Casa Maca Guest House. It is close to the city center and most of the sights we visited were in walking distance. The house is actually an apartment house which makes you feel at home. Our room had a small balcony and a bathroom ensuite. The room was wonderful for us. It was very clean,... More

The location is just perfect - 3min to metro station (Verdaguer), walking distance to Casa Mila/Passeig de Gracia (5min) and Sagrada Familia (15min). The house itself is really charming as almost every building in Eixample. Our room was small but comfy, with a window to the main street (but it´s not so noisy, we slept with window opened). The only... More

Three of us stayed Monday to Friday for a city break. They arranged an excellent taxi service from the airport, which was by far the easiest way to transfer. Slightly disappointed on arrival that it didn't quite live up to the photos on the website and the facilities were quite limited. No TV or tea making facilities and there was... More

The room was nice and clean. The entire appartment is very nicely decorated and makes you feel at home. Breakfast is plentifull. The staff is very friendly: when we arrived around midnight they she let us do the formal check-in the next morning so we could go to sleep right away. She was very eager to explain where to go... Well appointed rooms, staff interested in your welfare, clean and peaceful environment. Good location - central and close to metro but on a quiet street. The outside space was nice to take a break in the afternoon. Limited number of rooms made it feel more personal. Great value for money.

The room was lovely (very big) with a nice seating area looking onto a courtyard, which could be separated from bedroom by curtains. Staff were polite and kind. Location was very good, direct R2 train from airport to Passeig de Gracia & then just 10mins walk to the guest house.

Very cosy, very beautifull guesthouse, nice shower (although it made very much noise, also to flush the toilet.) Wifi didn't work that good so it was very frustrating to look things up. We were very cold at night and in the mornings. Heating didn't work in the eating area. In our bedroom it did, but it took a really long... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
