4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Three of us stayed Monday to Friday for a city break. They arranged an excellent taxi service from the airport, which was by far the easiest way to transfer. Slightly disappointed on arrival that it didn't quite live up to the photos on the website and the facilities were quite limited. No TV or tea making facilities and there was... More

The room was nice and clean. The entire appartment is very nicely decorated and makes you feel at home. Breakfast is plentifull. The staff is very friendly: when we arrived around midnight they she let us do the formal check-in the next morning so we could go to sleep right away. She was very eager to explain where to go... Well appointed rooms, staff interested in your welfare, clean and peaceful environment. Good location - central and close to metro but on a quiet street. The outside space was nice to take a break in the afternoon. Limited number of rooms made it feel more personal. Great value for money.

The room was lovely (very big) with a nice seating area looking onto a courtyard, which could be separated from bedroom by curtains. Staff were polite and kind. Location was very good, direct R2 train from airport to Passeig de Gracia & then just 10mins walk to the guest house.

In one word... Super!!! From the sympathy of Karina, to the beauty of it inside, to the room, to the cleanness, to the breakfast, to the location! I will return for sure next time in Barcelona! I highly recommend!

Very cosy, very beautifull guesthouse, nice shower (although it made very much noise, also to flush the toilet.) Wifi didn't work that good so it was very frustrating to look things up. We were very cold at night and in the mornings. Heating didn't work in the eating area. In our bedroom it did, but it took a really long... More

It was clean, cozy and staff were friendly! Breakfeast included for the price and our host make sure that we had everyday clean towels.. Maybe its not place for younger people, but for us it was perfect. I highly recommend this!

I really enjoyed my stay at Casa Maca. The interior design is beautiful and it has a lovely tranquil feel. The staff are very helpful and let me keep my bags there for most of the day after I had checked out of the room. I would definitely stay there again.

I had been there before and was very sad to see how the place has gone down. Although having en-suites in all the rooms is an improvement from the time before, the room was tiny. Even worse, it has a window to an internal patio and the room is on top of a loud disco bar. The music was so... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
