There are pick pockets in Barcelona and the biggest is this hotel . The room & bathroom were filthy and they didn't care !! We got no sleep as the radiator knocked all night . The people above rearranged their room most of the night . I will never go back. save your hard earned money and do the same... More

Stayed here for a week on our first visit to Barcelona. The location was perfect, not too far from the metro, airport bus and city tour buses and numerous eateries were within walking distance. Room was very clean and spacious with the added bonus of a balcony overlooking the side street. It was fairly quiet although I imagine in peak... More

I love this hotel and return each year. The location is great just off Las Ramblas. As I mostly go November / December it is nice and quiet and relaxed. This years room 117 was at the back and a decent size and the bathroom had a great shower. I've always found it clean. Breakfast is good too, a variety... More

Just of Las Ramblas and handy for exploring everything Barcelona has to offer, had a small room but the shower was great, when we requested to move to a bigger room it had no shower so we stayed where we were, nice little back street, check out the flamenco club in the square well worth ten euros. Some great tapas... More

If you are looking for luxury, this might not be for you. If you are on a city trip and would like to see all the attractions, this is the right choice! Great location. It is at the heart of everything to see in Barcelona. Our room, actually, had a lot of character, a view of the street. It was... More

the only thing good about this hotel is its location . very close to las ramblas , plaza catalonia , and other great barcelona spots. the rooms are second class and overpriced at that. we prepaid 3 days there before our cruise otherwise i would have checked out first night. . when i returned from cruise i booked the marina... Love Barcelona loved Nouvel Hotel , was very close to Los Rambles , hope on hop off buses and easy walking to many attractions, places to eat and shopping . Just a warning when buying stamps from small tourist shops , check they are real as I bought several for postcards to family and friends and apparently they were fake... More

As you will have plenty of specific hotel reviews to read, I hope mine gives you a better idea on how you can use the wonderful location of this hotel to your advantage during your visit to Barcelona. 1. The Barcelona Airport was the best arrival airport I have used during my European travels. There is clear signage to the... More

Terriable smelt, all in chlorus. One chair in double room. Cafe in breakfast not good. Not working a cafe automat near the breakfast place. Not vegetables in breakfast. Not cafe-tea made facilities in room.

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
