We thought the hotel was good value for 3 star accommodation. The room and en suite were clean, bright and comfortable. The location was very convenient being close to the Placa Catalunya with metro, rail and bus services to all parts of Barcelona. We had breakfast at the hotel on our last morning and it was expensive. There are plenty... More

The hotel is located in a great place. Clean rooms with a fairly good breakfast. Thr roof tereace has a small pool and a good view. Price quality comparison is way above average for a room of this caliber. The beds are comfortable and have tilt function, which is cool for resting.

I took my family to Barcelona and stayed twice in June. We booked a total of 63 bed nights a real test of a hotel's reputation. Booked online at hotel website, with no fuss. It's a 3 star property but be sure to request a renovated room as they are so much better. The staff are friendly and love their... More

We have stayed at the hotel many times. Fabulous location just off Ramblas, quiet, super clean, spacious room for Europe. The staff here as good as any 5 star hotels! Each time, better then expected. Economical for Barcelona. Great hotel for pre/post cruise, or just visiting Barcelona for any reason! Very safe! Got info on this hotel many, many years... More

Here is my experience: I reserved this hotel through booking, for 1 night -because we had a day to visit Barcelona between our flight from Miami and our flight home. When the flight schedule changed,I cancelled this stay 2 and a half day before check inn,but half day later than the terms of the free cancellation.I contacted booking's costumer service and... Near the Plaza Cataluyna and Las Ramblas so very convenient for buses and gothic quarter. Room was fine - had all that was needed. Lot of choice at breakfast - hot and cold so should be something for most folk. Wifi worked in the room the first couple of days but after that it was non-existent. It was still available... More

The Lleo is located very near Plaza Catalunya at the top of Las Ramblas. Easy walk to the gothic quarter and good access to public transportation. Friendly and helpful staff. Room was a little run down, but adequate for our needs.

The lleo hotel is located just near the Rambla street and the major metro station which was really convenient for us. The first room they gave us was quite narrow and noisy but the other room they changed for us was really nice layout and bright. The staffs were helpful and kind. The only (small) problem is wifi signal is... More

My wife and I spent 4 nights at Hotel Lleo, at the end of October and beginning of November 2014, during the UK half-term holidays. This was booked via booking.com on a bed and breakfast basis. We have stayed in Barcelona before, the difference this time being the accommodation. The hotel is rated as 3 Star, which is very fair.... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
