Rated average only because the Turin is a genuine, no frills hotel. In every simple regard it was very good and to be recommended if what you want is to be out and about in the centre of Barcelona - doh!! However, if you do want to spend time in your room or in the hotel itself, then this may... More

Having previously stayed at Hotel Turin, I was happy and keen to return, and I'm glad that I did. The hotel is a nice hotel close to La Rambla and as such close to a lot of Barcelona, including the railway station, Airport Express, Metro, regular bus and tour bus stops. Locally there is a Carrefour supermarket for everyday things,... More

This hotel is located just off La Ramblas where all the action happens. It's within a couple of minutes walk to Placa Catalunya where you can take the aerobus to and from the airport (so convenient!). For the price you pay, location is worth it and this was one of the cheaper places I could find close to La Ramblas.... More

The rooms are great with good Wifi and good beeds and shower. It is quiet and modern with frendly staff. The only negative is that the TV does not have any English endertainment... More

We booked this hotel as it was in a good location off the Las Ramblas and when we saw it we didnt expect much. The room was ok and functional but a long narrow room however it had a view of the street which was good. The shower was very good and the beds extremely comfortable. What changed our opinion... Location was perfect for walking to all the main sights with convenient metro, bus, and train in the nearby Catalunya Plaza for those farther away. Very helpful and friendly staff that spoke English. Good restaurants nearby. BUT the room was tiny, stuffy, and noisy. They do not turn on the a/c until summer. We were told to open the window... More

We have stayed here several times. Accessibility to restaurants, activities, transportation entertainment is excellent. Would recommend requesting extra pillows and towels. Be sure to bring a power adapter!

Location Location Location. Right off of the heart of Las Ramblas and a 5 minute walk to the nearest public transportation, this hotel is perfect for exploring the beautiful city of Barcelona! The room was modern, but basic, with a great, clean bathroom. Stayed here with two friends for 2 nights during a leisure trip and could not have asked... More

Centrally located just off Las Ramblas, walking distance to Metros and Catalunya place. No special amenities, but clean, basic rooms, great breakfasts, and mostly pleasant helpful reception staff. Only down side is i couldn't adjust room temperature - and opening the window was too noisy to sleep!

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
