We were a group of girls travelling to Spain and stayed at Casa Consell in Barcelona. The picures dont do this quaint little Guest house justice. Our room was small but perfectly so, the bathroom clean and the lobby and breakfast area were airy and beautifully done with an option of outdoor dining too. The location is perfect, just a... More

We stayed at the Casa Consell recently and loved it. A few nice changes have been made since the last time we stayed there. The new breakfast/gathering room is welcoming and relaxing, and the outdoor area off the breakfast room was fantastic! Our room and the bathrooms on our floor had been recently remodeled and were very nice. Definitely ask... More

I picked this hostel because the photos on booking.com looked nice- I pleased to find on arrival that the photos were accurate! The staff are very friendly and helpful, the hostel and room were clean and has some really nice touches, like the balcony, where you can sit and have a beer (which they sell at the hostel) after a... 4 stops out from the airport train station, and we emerged blinking in to the sunlight of Passeig de Gràcia in the heart of the city. We walked for less than 2 minutes to Casa Consell - it is brilliantly situated. We were welcomed by the very charming and happy Francisco who, the day before, had arranged a different type... More

I stayed in a single room for one night. It was very clean and had a good amount of space. The toilet area was also very clean. The location is ideal being only a 2 minute walk from the train station.

The hotel is located near plaza de Gracia in the center of the city. The place is very good and the famous street Rambla is 10 minutes away on foot. The personnel is very kind and willing to help. Also the hotel was very good. The breakfast was good enough. Nice kitchen to use and cool living room to chill.... More

We stay two days here, it's central in the city and close to main metro and train station, kind staff can help us find food and visit. There was a kitchen we can cook, drink tea or coffee in the livingroom by ourselves, and offered breakfast in the morning. The bathroom in triple bed room was small, the single bed... More

Really good location combined with quiet and tranquility. Friendly stuff. Everyone was friendly and helpful, good atmosphere for breakfast. The room was a bit too small and the window overviewed the concrete wall but this was compensated by peace at night.

Very friendly and attentive staff. Nothing too much trouble. Rooms clean and tidy, continental breakfast in help yourself kitchen, terrace for pleasant relax outside. Ideally situated near shops and restaurants. A 2 minute walk to the Metro, a direct line to the airport, and a 5 minute walk from the Ramblas. This was our second stay here, and would have... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
