The hotel has a great location in the old gothic quarter , and by a few minute walk you can be the center of las ramblas and liceu metro station .. But the service in the hotel isn't as good as its location , the rooms are very small , the beds are small , no refrigerator , the air... More

We booked this pleasant looking hotel months before our visit. On arrival, when the lady checking us in realised we were only there for two nights we were told that the air conditioning was broken and we were being sent to another hotel just up the road and over the square. We were assured it was a better hotel but... More

The only reason I gave it 3 stars was for its location which is in the Gothic district very close to Las Ramblas. The hallways & room were musty, smelled weird & there was poor air conditioning. The location of my room was confusing as you had to leave the floor once you exited the elevator to get to another... More

The hotel is located in a great location, a short 3 min walk to La Rambla. In the 3 nights I spent there's really struggled for a good night sleep. The hotel is situated on a high pedestrian street and the windows must be paper thin as we could hear conversations quite clearly from our bed, and the noise doesn't... More

it depends what you are looking for in Barcelona - if you are looking for a nice clean room, good service and employees that are always kind and willing to help, perfect location, close to the beach, the Rambla, the market, shopping and restaurants within a short walking distance - this is the place for you!

This hotel has some good features and some bad. First the good,it is ideally situated for getting around, just off LA Rambla. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and just a short walk to the Gothic quarter. The down side is mainly the rooms. They are very small and in need of smartening up.Also, what the tour companies do not tell you... More

This was a great location to stay within walking distance of most the attractions Barcelona has to offer. There was a huge selection of food at breakfast in the basement restaurant/bar which still holds a lot of the building's original features. The rooms and beds were comfortable although we were slightly disappointed with the view from our window. Staff at... More

Superb location, great street, lovely barrio buzz. The staff is friendly, the rooms fine (if not a bit small) and they do volume well (lots of people coming and going)...BUT make sure you get a room on a higher floor and NOT facing the street or you will be up all night, especially as the week goes on. It can... More

Completely agree -position is excellent. In couple steps-rambla, five minutes -Catalonia square, five minutes- quay. Our room was not perfect, first of all-tнere was no balcony and view to a backyard, tнat was looking like a mine. But I was нappy staying and tнere.

Thanks for your comments. We have more quiet interior rooms that overlook an inner courtyard, if you prefer there are exterior rooms overlooking the street. We hope to be able to accommodate you in our hotel in the future. Elisabet Robles. Department of customer Service. More

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
