I went to Barcelona for 4 days with my Mum. Barcelona was wonderful , however the hotel was a disappointment. The room we were given initially was unacceptable in that it smelt fusty. To their credit, we were transferred to another room within 15 minutes though they couldn't give us twin beds so we had to share a double bed.... More

Have recently stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel was clean the staff were lovely and very helpful. There was an amazing choice at breakfast with both hot and cold food. There is something for everyone. If you want a clean, comfortable no frills hotel in the centre of Barcelona then try The Hotel Rialto and you won't be disappointed.

Right off las rambles. Brilliant. Clean. No balcony but so what. It was so cheap and I would definitely stay there again. A large receptions and is manned through the night so is pretty safe too. Recommended.

Spent 3 nights in this hotel with my adult son from 11/03/15 to 14/03/15 and it is one of the best location in the city (Just off Las Ramblas -the most famous street, a minute walk from the Town Hall and a Cathedral). However, the Hotel is populated by the locall (Spanish) youth visitors (age 16 to 20) who congregate... More

The Rialto Hotel is right in the centre of Barcelona, less than 5 minutes walk from La Rambla and the many sights accessed by Metro or by foot. The hotel offers the basic requirements of a traveller with a basement dining area which is a bit muddled and small but does what it says. The food is good and plentiful... More

This was our 2nd stay at the Hotel Rialto, and again we were not disappointed. Situated just off famous La Rambla in central Barcelona, the hotel Rialto occupies a historic building where the artist Joan Miró was born. The rooms at the Rialto Hotel are a good sizes with a simple décor. Each room has a TV, The large modern... More

I've been there for a week with my family, and we got the opportunity to be in the city at "festes de santa eulalia" - An amazing 4-days festival with kids shooting fireworks on our street and non-stop concerts right at the placa saint Jaume (right under the hotel!) Overall the facilities and conditions weren't great... some examples: *Our key... More

My wife and I stayed here three nights and we would not stay again. The location is awesome! We were staying on a holiday weekend of Santa Eulalia and we could see all the action (amazing show with dolls, fire and music) from our balcony. Beds were comfortable and our room was cleaned very well every day by the maid. The staff was nice and pleasant. Now to the reasons I gave 3 points... More

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
