We stayed here back in March, the weekend of the Barcelona Marathon, the hotel is about 20 metres from the Avenue Parallel which was about a mile from the race finish line. So it was great to watch on the Sunday, sat in one of the outside cafes in the early Spring sunshine. The location is one of the main... More

good ratio: offer vs price, but ask for the room from the yard and not on the first floor, esp. if you plan to enjoy long barcelona nights. Staff english speaking and helpful. cleanness in the rooms ok

During our trip in Barcelona the Paral.el hotel was the first one we stayed at. The hotel has been recently renovated so everything is new and in great shape. The location of that hotel is just perfect. Metro stations close by to get around the city. There is a bus stop by the hotel that will drop you off the... More

Great hotel. Everything you need is present. Personnel is very kind and helpful. Beds are a bit hard, but personnely i prefer a hard bed. No bar in the hotel, but minibar on each room. Recommendable to discover Barcelona.

Hotel is near to the Metro station Paral-lel, just 100 to 150 meters walk. To get there you can go with the aerobus from the airport to the Plaza Espanya and take the metro from there, or go to the end of this line to Plaza Catalunya and take the metro from there, the metro station at Plaza Espanya is... Staying in Montjuic

Neighborhood Profile
Montjuic
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colorful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
