Although being able to hear what's happening in corridor outside most mornings etc this hotel is excellent value and reception staff are experienced and speak many languages between them. Breakfast is worth the money too.

This hotel is located near or in the residential area so expect to see locals doing their daily chores, yet, is in close proximity to the main tourist areas like Plaza Espana, Ramblas, Columbus Monument and Barceloneta. We feel safe in this area and the hotel room is quiet to sleep in. Staff are very friendly and easy to deal... More

Me and my partner stayed here from 21st-24th August & only have one possible fault. The hotel is in an amazing location, on a very central street with easy access to restaurants, supermarkets & only 10/15 minutes walk from La Rambla & attractions such as the magic fountains (which are a must!) The hotel is also a ten minute walk... More

Stayed here for 4 nights, what a fabulous hotel for the price. Rooms were kept spotlessly clean, the location is excellent for the metro, buses, Las Ramblas, Parc Montjuic. Sometimes hotel receptionists can make or break your hotel experience, not in this case, the guys on reception were some of the friendliest we've met and always there to answer any... More

I checked into a single room at this hotel on the 10th of August to stay for a week. Before I made the booking, I saw the picture of their single rooms on their official website. As this picture indicates(first picture attached to my review), the bed looks very much like a double bed in terms of size in their... More

Small cosy rooms, maintained clean and worth the price! Walking distance from restaurants, bars, and fast food joints The front desk staff was very friendly, they advised travel routes and restaurant options based on what we preferred to see in the city.

Great location, quiet, air-conditioned rooms and brilliant service. Especially thankful for the option to leave your key at reception while you explore, and for the locker service allowing you to leave your bags safely on your last day! Will definitely recommend to any travellers in search of a low-budget, high quality hotel!

We found the hotel to have very good rooms, quiet and good quality air conditioning. Staff helpful and friendly. Location ideal - near to metro, also easy walking distance from city. There is a lovely Street that runs parallel to main road - a 2 min walk from hotel which serves great tapas (very cheap and delicious) and breakfast. A... More

I had a very nice time hosting antiparallel hotel in Barcelona. The rooms were nicely sized and very clean. The staff was great and took care of everything I needed. It was very nice that it was not actually in the tourist area but had a lot of places to go to eat and shop in the immediate area. Transportation... More

Staying in Montjuic

Neighborhood Profile
Montjuic
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colorful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
